Hello,

Thanks for the warm welcome :) So, after a lot of help and advice on here, I've decided to move on from my Iclear 16 single coil starter kit and try the Kanger Mini Protank 2. I was just wondering if anyone knows whether the two batteries I received in my starter kit will work with this clearomizer, without causing any vaping / safety problems. They are INNO 650 mAh batteries, fixed 3.7 volts, which look like the attached.

Any advice would be great :) Thanks.

Just to expand a bit more.
The battery connection on those are called "EGO" thread. Hence any tanks that uses EGO threat will fit them. Also, as added benefit, they also support "510" connections, which opens the door to lots more selections and bigger tanks. To streamline the look of bigger tank on EGO battery, tanks usually comes with "beauty ring" to hide the gap.

The coil on the mini protank 2 ships at 2.5 ohm I think?

That is NOT going to be ideal on a 3.7v or < battery.

Yup just checked mine - it's reading 2.6 ohms on the itaste VV 3. When I run the protank on the ego (vision spinner) I crank that thing up to 4.6-4.8v. Unless you replace the coil with a lower resistance one, I do not believe you will get the performance you "could" on that protank.

Anything I could find online says 3.7v (fixed). If; and bear with me, I'm new. That means it pushes out a little more when it comes off the charger, and then drops as it dies... you will never put enough power to the PT 2.5 ohm coil to break 7 watts. Even if it comes off the charger pushing out 4.2v.

If fixed means that it's regulated at 3.7v until it literally turns off. I would want 1.8 ohm coils. That puts you around 8 watts the whole time and is about where I run my protank now and it's a good vape. Not too hot, not to weak, good balanced performance.

So if someone can clarify whether your voltage changes - or it is regulated. You could pick an appropriate (ohm) resistance coil for your non VV battery and still get all the performance you can out of the PT with that battery!

I bought 2 mini protanks II's this pas weekend and was using them with batteries with the same specs as yours and 2.2 ohm coils and they worked fine. The mini PT II's I bought came with 1.8 ohm coils which I replaces with 2.2's because I was getting a burnt taste. That being said I purchased the iTaste vv today and WOW what a difference. You can adjust both voltage and wattage settings to fine tune your battery to get the most flavor out of your juice. Plus it can also check the resistance of your coils with it.

You will have no problems on that battery. I used my mini on one of those for a while WITH 2.5 coils with no issues. IDK why people think you need to go low res on everything for a good vape. Not everyone is a cloud chaser. THe mini works well with 2.2-2.5 coils running 3.7v ego batts and will hit with about double the "smoke" when compared to an analog. The 1.8 coils run a bit hot if you like to take long (5 sec)drags and will give a burnt taste on the third drag. One thing to be wary of is the fact that not all "ego" thread batts are the same amount of thread. I find the protanks work best on a Joyetech batt but on other batts you may have to cover an air hole to tighten up the drag and get enough fluid draw.

Another tip is to do short puffs for the first half tank to break in the coil and lower the chance of a burnt wick.
