I could get anywhere from a couple of days up to a week max depending on the juice. You will know because they become gunky - you won't get good hits anymore. Almost like it will feel clogged or taste like crap. But, you can take them out and soak them in alcohol then let dry out and reuse. You'll get more life out of them by doing this without throwing them away and starting with new ones.

About how long do the atomizers for this tank last? how will you know when you should change it out for a new one?

As long as the coil fires keep using it. Could last a week, could last three months. After about 5 - 10 mls, take the head apart, rinse in water, let dry. Then do a dryburn. No alcohol soaking is needed. Watch the vid. i didn't but I'm sure it will help you.

I bought one of these 7 months ago and liked it so much I got 15 extra atomizers a week later. I figured this would be my everyday unit, which it is. I clean and dry burn my atomizer about once or twice a week and believe it or not, Im still using the first one (of 2) that came with the tank kit!!!!!

Im sure that if I put in a new one I'd go wow, thats way more vapor, or tasts better, whatever, but at this point I just want to see how long it can go before it burns out or clogs so bad I can't use it. I have never read of anyone else using one of these this long, probably because they're so cheap to just put in a new one, or cycle a few in and out. 1 month in and I decided to see how far it could go and its still going. Always works better after a cleaning and dry burn though.

I don't care that much for huge vapor hits anyways, as long as I get something out of it to make using it worth my while. Its been seven months since I gave up analog smoking so I don't need to carry it around with me all day anymore. I just use it at night while watching TV. When I first got it however, I used it constantly like 2 tank fulls a day.

I'll keep guinea pigging myself and see how long it lasts.

I have a Protank Mini 2, and it really depends on the heads. The first ever head I used burned out or clogged in two days. It would produce hardly any vapor at all, and a very muted flavor.
However, I am about 5 days and 12 ml into the new head, and it is still working well. I held on the the first head and will try it again after a cleaning when I finish up with this bottle of liquid (about 1 ml remaining in the tank).

In the interest of full disclosure, I did turn my voltage up to around 4.6v for a hit or two and the burned taste was pervasive. This may or may not have something to do with the head messing up so quickly.

im going on a week with the protank standard heads in my evod (cross compatibility i checked) my fiance has the protank mini 2 and has been on the original head for the same duration and we are both still fine, my draw is starting to get tight but im on a 70/30 vg/pg balance so that could have alot to do with it, we just bought a 5 pack of heads tho so i will probably change out tonight and try cleaning the one im burning now and report back.

I open the Atty, run under VERY hot water. Adds about a week of life. I keep doing this until it just stops working. These things are a $1 or so . Thats only 52 $ a year....

The coils in my ProTank 2 last a couple weeks using Halo e-liquid. I clean all the parts every other refill and dry burn the coil, sometimes I'll replace the wicks if there is any hint of bad taste. There is now way i'd get this kind of life out of them if i were using a thicker juice, or the overly sweet ones. I typically clean the parts in a small ultrasonic cleaner from harbor freight. thing works wonders.

Regarding Protank 2 mini and probably goes for the Protank 2 as well, I agree, it depends on the lot of heads you get. I have been having problems with protank 2 mini and airflow and burned draws. I took off the plastic cap that sits on the wick and clipped a small piece off on each side where the wick sits. Put it back on and it works fine now. The wick is now able to breath. I hate that you have to fuss so much with these devices. Just save all your old heads because you never know when you might need a part to try and modify.

I have bought a generic mini protank called protank x9 mini on ebay for about $5 . It whistled upon first use so I took a small drill bit and just rubbed it inside the holes. Whistle is gone. I noticed that the center tube gets far less wet than protank 1 2.4ml. Glass doesnt seem pyrex on this generic one just glass. I really want a protank 1 mini not protank 2. I prefer non removable parts.
