I tried to do a search for this before posting but found nothing to give me an answer. When my MVP2 or spinner is charging I use my simple Kanger Evod 1000 (might be 1100MaH I forget) MaH battery as back up. I have no problem with any of my clearomizers other then my kanger protank mini 3. I have three of them that I use for smaller amounts of juice, tasting or when I want something small and discreet. The situation (if it is one) is that within a few moments my battery and bottom of tank is hot (warm to hot). I am using bought coils and they test at 1.5 ohms (as purchased) on my MVPs. I don't know what is up and if it is safe. I understand I am using regulated devices but it still scares me. I am not chain vaping either. This happens after a couple or three toots. All my equipment is under three months and I maintain connections, and coils often. Is this just an indicator that the coil needs to be changed rather then cleaned? Is it dangerous even on a regulated mod?

I can't see how the dual coils in your 1.5 ohm Kanger Mini could heat up your adjustable EGO style stick battery as long as the coils are not shorted ... and there not shorted if they show 1.5 ohms on an ohmmeter.

What do you have the voltage set at? ... A 1.5 ohm coil only needs 4.0v to equal 10 watts of power ... Are you feeding that Kanger coil much more than 10 watts?

As I said... it heats up on the kanger 1000MaH battery. Just that, not a spinner, but was sold to me as a set and I have used them for a couple of months without too much worry, but now it doesn't take long at all to get quite hot. If I put same mini on my MVP it reads the 1.5 just fine and does not get as hot, just warm.

No it is not adjustable, just a stick battery, not vv or vw. I guess that is the safest solution but it doesn't really answer question. mini's still get warm very quick no matter what they are on, spinner at any setting and same for MVP2. It gets hotter on stick battery. Other tanks do just fine on same kanger stick battery ( Kanger Aero, Nautilus and iclears do not heat up at all nor does battery itself. It just happens with the mini kanger protank 2 so I thought the problem was the little wee tanks not the battery. It is making me wary but it would feel like I was throwing money away if I just start dumping things without understanding root of problem.
