Kanger ProTank to airy. Restricted ports (slots) and much better.

Wrapped the knurled fingertight nut that closes the tank with invisa tape and poked a hole in one of the four slots that allow so much air into the system. This helps tremendously, but is temporary. Thinking liquid weld or modeling clay to permanently close off 3 of the 4 slots and be more aesthetically pleasing to the eye than tape. I just prefer some resistance when I vape. Getting an air hit reminds me of ultra light cigarettes...which I could never stand. Notice that the mod connector for the eGo Battery can be reverse tightened up to the knurled nut on the tank after the battery is screwed into the tank. If it isn't then it allows a big old gap allowing for even more air into the system.

If you want a tighter draw, just use the Kanger evod replacement heads instead of the protanks replacement heads. Works perfect and screws right in place.

This is what I plan on doing. Do you use the the evod replacement head as-is, or do you swap out the center air tube?

Does the evod have the same threads as the ProTank? Can I use it with my Vamo v2?

I bought an evod replacement head when I ordered the ProTank, however, it's 1.8 ohms and per several threads no bueno for the eGo battery. I had it on for a bit today and it did run hot, but after reading what might happen to my eGo battery I pulled it back out for the stock head that came with the ProTank.

The ProTank is 510 threaded, the Evod (and T3) are ego thread. Your V2 Vamo will take either.

From what I've read here on ECF, the evod head works as is, no changes, or change out the center post between them. Haven't tried either, yet, as my original head's still going strong. So try without changing the post first? If it works, great. If not, let us know!

If you eventually consider re-wicking the heads, I found using cotton balls as material will tighten up the draw dramatically, without plugging any holes.

That was exactly what I was going to mention . I bought one , specifcally for my Pro Tank , and it works great . And cheap as well .

This was my experience. My first tank or two I thought it was too airy...but after about 10 tanks, I am loving it. I ordered another for backup.
