No, it's sits pretty square to the top of the vamo, even without the beauty ring on there. You might want to try the pro-tank on another battery or another head on the vamo to see which is off. Be careful if you decide to 'bend' anything.
I'm like you though, things have to fit right and square otherwise I'll just notice it all the dang time.

That's how I am too, once I noticed the tank was not square, I noticed even more and all the time!

I had my nova on the vamo and it sat square. I threaded the protank on the vamo without the beauty ring and it sat square. I threaded the protank on my eGo battery and it sat square. After looking at the vamo more, I noticed that that beauty ring is not set square when threaded onto the eGo threads. I have checked and the ring is not cross threaded on the eGo threads. I gave up. I just threaded the beauty ring on a touch more and got it so the tank is square, but if I look closely I can see the beauty ring is a crooked. But it's much less noticable than the tank being crooked.

I figured it out after trying for a bit to screw the beauty ring that came with the protank in there. The flare was stopping it. I went to my local vape store and picked up the beauty ring with no flare like the one you have. My problem now is my tank is not sitting square on the vamo. I screwed the ring in just enough so the tank hits the connection but avoids over tightening. The tank sits at an angle. Not much of an angle but I notice it and it kinda drives me crazy. It almost looks like the tank is cross threaded, but it's not. I have tried unscrewing the ring and re screwing it on. Does yours seem to sit a little crooked with the sleeve?

Mine is the same way. Tanks are crooked. Its just cheap. I mean you have to figure quality is gonna be sacrificed at that price level.

Haha just tried to screw that beauty ring that came with my pro tank onto my vamo before reading the rest of this thread and it got stuck lol.

I got it out after some finesse.

But anyway... A trick that I use for screwing the protank on my vamo. I grip it very loosely and just tighten it until it starts slipping in my hand and my grip isnt tight enough to tighten it anymore. I havent experienced any problems with vapor escaping anywhere out of the ordinary nor have I had any issue pushin my post down. Also it doesnt wobble at all. I can move it around if I try to but it doesnt feel loose on its own.

Sounds like you already got this figured out though. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

I have the Vamo v-3 and use the Kanger Pro with it , I had wayyyyyy to much air flow so I cut a piece of card stock paper into like a small round record shape and slid it around the threads of the tank and made for a much tighter draw, Then I cut a small slit in that paper record and now the draw is perfect..

It never has smoked like yall are talking about.. I love the tank and Vamo V-3 together,,

What I want to find is were I can order 3 of the beauty rings to go with my ego-twist and nova tanks,, I have sleeves but the Kanger beauty ring looks soooo cool on the ego twist lol

I've never had an issue with the Vamo and any of the Ego threaded devices myself.... I used a sleeve like Ocelot posted for a while with a 19mm IBTanked, but that was just because I wanted to see if it made a difference... for me the protanks are a bit airy, I'll have to try the "record card" trick that was posted to see if I can't get a better draw from it. Right now, my protanks kinda just chill out next to my AGA-T+ and my Mini DuD... I'm kinda stuck in cartotank mode
(I blame Baditude :) )

I've heard about some of the protanks being crooked of late, mine are from the original runs (both came in the "gift packaging"), so its possible that QC was a bit better then. I dunno.

I DO like the protanks on my Ego's though. Just on my daily got to (the Vamo), it just seems too airy. As with any delivery device though, its like your taste in juice, its all subjective.

My Vamo V2 & Protank seems to have a very fine line. I only screw it down enough to make a decent connection. There's a gap from the top of the V2 to the bottom of the PT. I can tell if I cranked it down flush it would probably mess up the center pin of the V2.
The PT is slightly off kilter but not enough to bother me.
I just am doing everything to avoid the issue with the center pin.

I haven't tried any kind of adapter cause I don't know which one will work. I'm not too rough on it [yet] & it seems to function perfectly. That is once you get used to the airy draw. That gap only makes that worse.

Is this why some have cut out some form of a disk? To make it sit flush & help with the airy draw? Tighten it up?

I just use it as it is & hope for the best. I do see that the center pin is pushed down to the max & there's not much more room for error. I also use Evods on it & the same thing, I only screw them down enough to keep it from rattling around. I guess that's what you get.
Don't have any leaking issues except when I use an Evod on a KGO battery. Even that is minimal but I haven't been able to figure out where it's leaking.
