Hello from Texas,
I'm brand new to vaping and looking for the right set up for me. After reading all of the ravs about the protank I'm going to order a couple from fasttech, just not not sure which replacement heads to order with them I'm getting this tank
$12.09 Kanger Protank Clearomizer with Pyrex Glass Tank (2.5mL) - silver / 2.5
What would be the correct heads to order from them?
Thanks in advance for the replies.
By the way ive got ego t 1100mah batts on the way from happee cloud, they are SLOW but that's another thread altogether.

When I have time I rebuild my coils, but just to be safe, I keep a box of T3S heads in my truck. I like the 2.5 ohm T3S units on all my Kanger's (Protanks, Evods,T3S, and MT3S)

For eGo batteries I recommend these $1.28 EVOD Electronic Cigarettes Atomizer Heating Core - 1.8 Now, are you sure you don't want to wait a couple weeks for the Protank 2 to go live?

There are 2 kinds of evod heads, long stem and short stem. They don't intermix with each other unless you have the little o-ring that fit under the silicone cap that some of those stems come with and still I have reservations on them working properly.
I found the FT evod heads in a protank loose fitting along with their crap coil makes for a bad experience.
Protanks are long stemed and the one shown is a short stem and it won't fit and leak. I ordered some of those evod stems from FT and OMG they are chitty, I estimate I would get a couple/few rebuilds before I rip that lousy plastic plug on the bottom in half.
Buying the protank from fasttech is your option but chances are its fake/cloned or a 2nd in some way and then evod heads that don't fit properly. Spend the couple extra bucks and get a genuine protank and their proper heads for it, it will save you some aggravation and spending twice when unnecessarily and side by side you can see the quality diference between the FT coils and the protank coils.

The ProTank does come with a head and one extra replacement head. However, you can get a blister pack of like 5 heads fairly cheap at places. I rebuild them now, but I'm glad I had the extra replacement heads to use as parts in rebuilding.

As for the ProTank, that is a good price as they were originally selling for $25 when I first started vaping. I know the ProTank 2 is coming out, but the price point will likely be much higher than the price you're getting for the original ProTank. If you are looking to get two, I would get one of each. Just my two cents.

Don't count the Protank, (classic) out let, they have been reconfigured and now have several of the issues addressed. I just got the latest build and it's draw is much less airy. This will always be a good dependable vape.

The latest atomizers from Kangertech are practically universal, the Protank type head fits everything, including the Evod, (haven't tried it out on the T3s, as I don't have one). They worked great in the Evod and it didn't change the draw so I'm thinking the airy draw issue, (which some people love, BTW), is with the tank design and not the atomizer itself.

I would never buy "generic" atomizer heads, even though I rebuild my atty's myself, the price of Kanger atomizer 5 packs are reasonable enough to keep me from ordering from "Clone" companies. It's just not worth having something that might not fit properly, especially since I rebuild and use them many, many times.

I have bought a "Clone" type tank, such as the Puritank, which is solid stainless steel and pyrex and holds 3.5ml, but I still use Kanger attys because they are fundamentally better built to begin with. The clone attys you get with the Puritank are OK, (meh..), but I swapped in a real Protank atty and WOW! Then I threw in a real Evod atty and it was even BETTER.

Enjoy your new tank, no matter what you buy!

These are Eric's, from discountvapers, review and notes on the Davide. Thoughts?

Eric's Notes:Clean all parts before using, the glass, the base and the top! .Please be careful with this tank, it is.made of glass.and can shatter and break if dropped. .Breakage of the tank is not warrantied. Replacement glass tops will be available soon for purchase..
Filling this unit is different from the protank as this unit has guards on the base, so you would fill with a dripper, syringe or bottle carefully into the sloted holes and not just dump in it.Also, the eVod and ProTank coils work on this unit.
.When building this tank or removing parts, please be sure to clean and dry all parts. .When rebuilding the center tube make sure the center tube is on properly and tight, not having it all put together properly will result in leaking..Do not.overtighten the top or bottom base, finger tight is good. I grasp the top and bottom with both hands (one on top the other on the base) and twist slowly until it stops, it does not need to be tightened more than that, over tightening can cause breakage. Glass Breakage is not covered under any warranty..
The glass tanks that are coming out of China recently require a little finese in usage, do not store .in pockets, try not to drop them and be careful putting them back together..
Eric's Review:This is basically like a protank that can be dissasembled, it seems to be contructed well, the glass is nice and it all comes apart even the center stem, there are parts due from AnyVape that are supposed to make this even bigger if you want it to be. It takes the Kanger eVod and ProTank coils and will even use the Vision Victory Coils. .
ONE WARNING:One issue I have found is that the drip tip comes out too easily, it doesn't fall out but it takes no pressure to remove it, it is not tight enough, I have tried a bunch of different drip tips on it, some fit nicely some are loose, keep this in mind, the drip tip fit is not something warrantied on this item. You are probably not going to be able to hang this out of your mouth and hold with your teeth (not that you would anyway with it being so heavy)
