Kanger replacement glass tank question

Hey everybody, couple weeks ago I dropped my mini protank 2 and cracked the glass tank. When I was looking at the replacement tanks online, everywhere I checked said the mini glass tank fits both the mini protank 2 and the aerotank mini. I had been eyeing the aerotank mini anyway, and it comes with a glass and metal tank. So I figured I'd just get it and use one of the tanks on my mini pt2.

Anyway, I got it and tried to fit the metal tank from the aerotank mini onto the mini pt2, and it was too big to screw the top and bottom pieces together. I decided to try the glass, because the metal gets thicker in the middle and I thought maybe that's why it only fit on the aerotank mini. So I got the glass on the mini protank 2, but I can't completely screw it together. It already tight and I feel like the extra few turns will break the glass. Anyone have any experience on this? How can they use the same replacement glass if they aren't the same height?

Turn the tank around. I also have both and mine fits. Notice the two ends have a different lip, try turning it around. The replacement glass can be had here: Pyrex Glass Tube for Mini Kanger Protank II. BTW, where in CT are you?
