Hello Draino3. Since the first time you experienced the burnt tasting are you using the same coil? If the cotton gets burnt or the juice burns and cakes on the coil the taste will stick around. Especially when the wicked starts to get more on the dry side. I would suggest trying a new coil and doing the same thing as far as juicing the coil and letting it sit for a couple minutes. But this time start at a low wattage and work your way up slowly to your preferred wattage. Also, if your juice has a high VG content like 80% or more it will wick slower, especially in colder climates.

30 watts is too high for either of the stock coils. I'd start around 12 and work your way up til you find your best flavor. And like OGSick said, once you burn the coil, it stays burnt. Time to change it. When priming, I put 8 to 10 drops in and wait for the wick visible in the holes to change color. Then I put the tank together and let it sit a while.

Had mine less than a day.
No harsh its vaped the 1.2Ω coil from 20 - 35 watts.
Put coil in couple of drops directly on the coil then a drop on the sides of the head where the wicks are.
Put juice in , couple of dry vapes , waited a couple of minutes then off I went.

I would not run the 1.2 coil at 35 watts, it is only rated up to 25 watts, and that is the absolute high end...the .5 is good up to 30 according to Kanger, but I don't run mine past about 22 or so...

Depends on the juice.

On a 50/50 juice, I can crank either head up to 30w easy.

But on a higher juice (llike my 80/20), I have t step it down to 25 max, and still cant chain vape cuz it doesnt wick fast enough.

The power on the side of the coil is only a recommendation. I wuldnt take either head above 30w anyways, but if it works for you, fantastic! if 5w works for you, great! I actually been using the 1.2 heads on my nano @ 15w with 1 air hole open to get mellow mouth to lung hits

EDIT: @ 15 watts, not 165 o.o;

Im new to the tank thing, I don't know what I'm doing wrong I put juice on the coil I fill the tank I let sit for a hour or so I get one or two hits then burnt wick its been going on for two days now I have it on an ipv mini at 30 watts I tried running it lower but the same thing happens any answers would be great thank

You need to saturate that coil with liquid before you fill it. When I say saturate, I mean be liberal with the juice and cover every piece of cotton you can see with a liberal helping of liquid. Pour liquid down vertically into the coil and then pour it into the side channels too. Don't flood it, but make sure all the cotton is liberally soaked.

If you are getting a burnt taste now, then it probably wont go away unfortunately. You will need to put a new coil in.

I'm using the 0.5 coils on my mini atm and i find 25w to be my sweet spot. It does work a little higher but i got the occasional slight burning taste at 27.5 so i dropped it down to 25 and haven't had a problem since apart from when the tank is almost empty and the tilt leaves no liquid over one of the cotton holes.

I settled on 18 - 20 watts for the 1.2Ω , I just put it the 0.5Ω and doing 22-25watts. For me seems to be dependant on the speed of the draw.

I had lots of dry hit problems also. anything over 11-12 watts, I couldn't pull for more than 4-5 seconds. After rebuilding the RBA portion with dual microcoils at 0.4 ohms however, I have no problems with full 30 watts; except that it gets really warm. Might also try rewicking, like less cotton and making sure all the cotton's tucked inside if you're using OCC.

I was loving mine for about a week 1.2 coil on MVP 20W then got a dry hit, changed the coil, cleaned everything, dried, new coil primed, worked great for a day and a half then dry hit. I like long pulls on biggest air hole lung hits. Guess it can't wick fast enough..?.. Switched to RBA section with single microcoil seems to work better but draw is tighter, I'm also careful not to take really long pulls now which bums me out because that's how I like to vape. I've started using RDA's to get my vapor fix.
