Hey Steve, turn the watts on your istick down to ...say 11 watts and go up from there until you find your spot. It's a low power tank/coil so you don't need a ton of watts to make it work. for either coil. The .5 will probably work better for you with slightly higher watts than the 1.2. It depends on your tastes really. But start low... enjoy.

I'm using low to mid teen watts, some people prefer over 20. It's up to you.

In what watt and volt range do I use the iStick 30w on for this tank? It came with a .5 and a 1.2

I have a volt/resistance chart but it only goes to 1.3, and shouldn't be fired higher than 3 volts right? Not sure about the .5

I just got my subtank mini yesterday, the first sub ohm tank I have tried and still haven't determined the sweet spot for me in wattage. Mine is on an istick 30 and I tried vaping it at 23 Watts, which my son likes the best on his, but the vape was too hot for me and even the drip tip seemed to get very hot. After vaping less than one tank so far I find that 18-19 watts seems to give me a much cooler vape and no hot drip tip so I think I will probably stay at that wattage for a while. I also notice less popping and crackling and if I go down to 16-17 watts the popping and crackling seem to completely disappear, yet the amount of vapor doesn't change very much from when I had it set much higher..
