Kanger Sub tank Air flow loose

The base of the subtank can actually be broken down into several pieces. The airflow ring is actually free floating between two metal plates that screw together. There is a tiny spring with a ball bearing that clicks into little grooves for the various air control settings. If you aren't careful when you unscrew the base from the glass tank you can accidentally unscrew the base from itself, instead of it screwing off the glass tank...if that makes sense. I noticed the same thing and found that my base just wasn't screwed together properly. Also...if it unscrews too much that ball bearing can fall out! Then no matter how much you tighten the base back together it will not click into place like it normally does.

TIP: When you unscrew the base from the actual tank, make sure you are grabbing that tiny ring of metal that separates the airflow ring from the glass tank instead of unscrewing it by the very bottom of the base. That should help.
