Is there anywhere that is selling the mod only without the tank? Since I already have two subtanks, although they are just the stainless steel version. The matching black one would be kinda nice but I don't really need ANOTHER subtank... so yea... please post if some place is selling the mod only. I assume it should cost no more than $40, probably less if they did. I mean, its either this mod or the Coolfire IV for me, but this is so much smaller looking.

An extra tank for a measly 14-20 bucks more and you could use the tank as spare parts if you're really partial to the stainless tanks? I bet the mod only will be a little bit.
I agree, having the extra tank seams like a no brainer. Even if you use it for parts.
Maybe wait for the mod to get into our grubby mitts for extended beta testing before jumping on it. Let the vapers and kanger work out the particulars for v2. I know nothing of the Coolfire, it may suit your needs better.
As a Kanger fan, I'd jump on the Subox while the first run is still available, if it doesn't agree with you or you don't want the tank, sell it and break even.

True... never hurts to have spare parts... but I already have the spares that came with it and they haven't even been used yet. The mod is already available on some sites though, but they only come as the kit. I wasn't aware there was already a v2 in the works? Either way, its a nice looking mod. If the Coolfire IV was smaller or the same size as the iStick 30 or Subox then I would definitely go for that instead.
No "v2" in the works so to speak, but with Kangers reputation of listening to consumers and making changes it may be a short term reality.
I have plenty of spare glass , O rings, screws, coils, cotton, etc. But that black tank is killer looking, so is the white which may look better with a stainless tank. If only they offered white rings...

I bought two kits that should be here in a day or two. Super super excited for em to get here. As of now, there is only the kit you can purchase that comes with the subtank. I would jump on it if I were you. The first run is selling out quick everywhere. I know you said you already had a couple extras, but I believe they have updated the tanks that come in the kits to their newest features. New/better airflow and a couple other cosmetic updates. Plus they are white/black. That's pretty sweet.

sweet vapes says they'll have the KBOX Mini and new STMini separately by the middle of June, or after the kits come out for a little bit, something like that...

Shel, I really wanted the Coolfire 4 but my only gripe is the large size of the mod and low battery life compared to the size of the iStick 30. Other than that, built in batteries don't bother me and I do think it looks really nice. Well if the whole kit costs just $60 then.. maybe I'll just get the kit if the mod only is fifteen less. Does anyone know if the Subox has a micro usb charging port?
Man... I can't decide! I still prefer the looks of the Coolfire. Ergh... maybe I should just wait a week and see what new things pop up. Or, are there newer cooler smaller looking mods on the way? I may just bite the bullet and buy the Subox.. I already have 18650 batteries and the size is nice and small. But the Coolfire is... really cool looking. Ahhh! Actually, I don't really need any mods at all but I still want a new one...
The eVic VT. It is one of the coolest looking mods out right now. Retails for $70. Comes with a eGo One Mega in matching colors. Looks fast sittin still.
