So i got the subtank mini here up in canada.. it was sold out everywhere but vapemail.com had it and it took 1 day to get to me ; >

I was pretty excited... using in my nemesis clone with 18650 battery

this is not the subtank specific but it's been less then 24hrs and the liquid is leaking....i thought i'd be better with the subtank but i noticed this with my aerotank mega, protank 3, aspire BDC, evods...
am I doing something wrong?? i keep my hardware upright on my desk .. does that cause it to flood? it seems to be leaking from the airholes... ; <

i've read some articles online but i do not know how people avoid this leaking...

I haven't had one leak, been using four of them.

Have you checked to make sure the coil is tight?...all o-rings in place?

yes... hehe i take them apart before changing liquids (haven't done it with the subtank yet) and they are good for a day or two but then start leaking again...

if the cotton gets too saturated will it leak down? can;t figure it out.. been vaping for a year and i haven't had one product not leak on me ; < maybe it's the way i carry it around? i put it in a case for glasses ... gonna try placing it down instead of upright to see how that works

On the fullsize subtank, the o-ring on the base is rounded on one edge and flat on the other. if the rounded side isn't in contact with the glass when it's assembled, then it will seep juice at that point.

Since I don't have my mini yet, I'll ask...
Look closely at the o-ring on the base.... does it have a rounded side and a flat side? if so, make sure the rounded side is UP.

good luck.

ASlso are you expossing it to temperature extremes? Ie indoors in Toronto vs Outdoors. I don't know about your tank but on my protank, I do know why it leaks. Not all the time immediatly but every build eventually. It's that airhole under the coil, and the affects of GRAVITY. So I got a Kayfun, now NO leakage. Unless I set-up the wick wrong and get flooding or don't completely tighten one of the many segments. Still have that airhole, under the coil, but at least now I can keep it clear, and drip free without having to take anything apart or even off my device.

the only bottom fed tank i have is with my new EVOD MEGA.
i have noticed a small amount of leakage from the base.
just enough to notice the dampness.
wiping of the threads and making sure its screwed in
completely as flush as the threading will allow eliminates
the problem.
i have been thinking though after reading about all the
leakage problems so any of these bottom fed type tanks
seem to be having, has anyone tried plumbers chalk?
i think if it was carefully applied to the thread farthest
from the interior part of the tank it might eliminate
a lot of these leakage issues.
a quick field alternative would be plain bar soap.
just take care it doesn't get into the tank.
regards
mike

Definitely make sure the curved side of the o-ring is facing up when you reassemble. They should add this to the user manual.

Somewhere... out there... there is a top secret manual of tips and tricks for Subtanks. As mere consumers, we're not allowed to see it, just to imagine it exists.

It's like the Matrix. Holy cow, seriously. I like Kangertech stuff (there are ten Kanger tanks here) but sometimes they shoot themselves in the foot, communicating or lack of. They're all over Pluid-gate but can't let us know about an o-ring.

edit: not disgruntled. lol... sorta kinda dry humour.

Ops problem is not the Subtank.

Ops problem is ALL Bottom coil Tanks. This is either an issue with the environment the equipment is in or the Ops understanding of use.

e-Liquid Blend? To thin?
Average Daily use? Lite, casual vaping?
Extreme temperature changes?
Pressure changes?
Leaving the tank sitting almost empty?

Simple solution for Leaks while sitting for long periods.
Place in a shot glass upside down. Wick/coil out of liquid and no leak.
