kanger subtank mini wick and wire

I am new to coil building. I could use suggestions on wire gage and wick material. Please help

I believe the stock OCC coils are a 24 or 26 gauge, but not positive!

Everybody has their favorite wicking material and you'll get 25 answers with 20 suggestions most likely!

As for wicking material check this out and make your own conclusions:

And after watching many (including above) videos, I think I want to try Japanese Organic Cotton... Anyone recommend a decent brand / low price / that doesn't take months to get to USA?

I like 26ga and rayon. Box of rayon is $12/500ft and the flavor is superb.

Easy decision? I think I'll get the organic Japanese cotton. Rayon does sound good, but I'm not into man made if I don't have to

Any suggestions on what to use to "hold" and center the coil when rebuilding the OCC?

I plan to follow Rip's video and use a 3mm screwdriver for the wrapping - just not sure what to use in the 3mm hole as seen in video
