hey guys I was wondering if any of you have experienced this problem and know of a way to overcome this? I bought a few Kanger T3s and mine came in two colours one white kanger (like the one Phil Busardo used in the clearo shootout) and another black one, the white ones are doing a pretty damn good job but the black ones are giving me a "plasticy" kind of flavour and a "layer of coating on the tongue" kind of aftertaste.

I'm at my wits end trying to figure out whats wrong here.

The taste comes from burnt silica. It happens because as the juice gets lower in your tank, it takes longer for the juice to get wicked up to your coil, therefore if you vape continuously you will be burning plain dry silica.

Tilt your device as the juice gets lower to always keep your wicks wet.

One thing to note is that Kanger T3 has inconsistency issues, half the units out there are amazing and the other half suck.

Always wash your coil assembly and tanks thoroughly before you use them. Always took care of the "new tank" taste for me.

Tipping a bottom coil seems a bit redundant unless you vape lying on your back.....

i had a few t3s in the past, best advice is to get rid of anything with plastic and upgrade to a rebuildable. i did and wow has the taste of my juices come alive. you will spend more but you get what you pay for, i dont recommend vaping with anything plastic, metal is found naturally in our bodies so vaping with metal must be better than plastic

I have 2 MT3's. They both started out fantastic and I thought I had found the perfect device paired with a twist. Now they both taste awful and I've tried every tip I could find on here. I've since moved on to the iClear 16. Smaller but works amazing and tastes fantastic. Vivi Nova on the way. I have to see what I think about them for myself.

Rally just wish people would try to help and stop dishing out misinformation for the sake of posting.

Brand name is rarely the issue.
Type of device is rarely the issue

You can get Dry hits, leaking, Flooding, Funky taste and just about any other problem from just about anything you can screw on a battery.

Burnt Plastic is generally from one of 3 things
Lack of fluid at the coil
To much power - wattage
a misaligned part

A few power off draws helps dry hits/fluid flow and sometimes help with plastic taste
Lower power if using a VV or VW device
Inspect and correct if needed

i agree partially crxess, actually i agree with everything you gave just wanted to add that Kanger supposedly confirmed a quality issue with their t3 and mt3 (probably sourcing new facilities kinda boge style) and apparently stated the issue was corrected or being corrected, but, take that with a grain of salt because i believe the issue that was most apparent was leaking at least it is the only issue i can confirm happens on 8 out of 15 of my t3 and mt3's

*Edit* the leaking i mentioned was a pretty easy fix as well, adjusted the amount of extra wicks above the coil depending on thickness of liquid used and/or material used to wick.

Some of these T-3s were made using a primer on the wic which tasted NASTY. Clean the heck out of it and dry burn it a good bit. The taste of that stuff does go away but it is nasty and does take some time to get rid of. It was used on a lot of dry shipment tank units for some reason. It is not only the Clearomizers.

supposedly some companies will use straight PG to keep the wicks moist and i would assume intact and still wound not sure why they wouldn't ship dry except they dont want it to unwind or the silica to absorb moisture from somewhere... anyways the "PG" primer i have tasted before properly priming doesnt taste like any PG i have tasted before (on accident DIYing juice) tastes like burnt chemicals/plastics

thanks for all the replies guys really appreciate it, however to address a few of your replies, I have my tank filled up, so it cannot be silica burning,
also i've had the sucker for a couple of days now so its also not the "new tank taste"
its just producing a ....ty aftertaste kinda plastic in nature....

thanks for the replies once again guys:vapor:
