Hmm well I changed it any way just to be safe and the new one I put on reads.53 and the coils I have Cleary state .5 on them and the box ...or did you mean they just always read that on your device.
.5 ohms is the nominal value. The reality is they will vary up to 10%, then you factor in the accuracy of your mod reading the coil resistance. So, your results may vary. A coil reading .6 ohms is not a cause for concern.
If your using a regulated mod and appropriate battery there is no need for concern.If your using a mechanical with no safety built in,we may need to talk more.
My .5 ohm coils have read around .6 for that tank as well. And I've had plenty of other coils that ended up reading about 1.3 when labeled 1.2 and so on. Just minor variances in them, nothing to worry about.
