I have had my kanger vv battery for about 6 months and now allot of the paint has chiped worn off and the volt setting are no longer there. What suggestions does anyone have, all I can do now is guess what volt setting I'm on.
300 charges in 180 days, that would be almost twice/day, I don't think so. I would estimate I've charged it 100 times, thats a little more than once every other day.
I think you misunderstood me, it still works as good as the day i got it. The volt settings or markings where removed as the paint chiped off. When I turn the dial there is no volt markings to set the volts, thats the problem.

I suppose you could use a file or hacksaw to make more permanent marks on it.
Turn it all the way to the left;
mark a random spot, both on the barrel and the turning disk.
turn it all the way to the right, and mark that position on the barrel.
so now you got two notches on the barrel, and one notch on the disk which moves from max to min.
I only ask cause I thought maybe others may have had same problem since most bats are painted. Seems there's no good answer. Guess I'll just take my mm and adjust it till it's 4v and mark it and put tape over it so the mark won't ware off. No fine tune anymore.

Turn all the way counter clockwise, 3.2. Clockwise, 4.8. Halfway is 4.0. I think you can figure out the rest...
I have a "stainless" version with gray markings. Pain to read, so I just turn it all the way down when I put on a new tank and scoot my way up until I find the sweet spot.

Sure you can. Adjust up or down depending on how the vape tastes. Don't really need the value except for a starting point. Too hot turn down not hot enough turn up.
Instead of tape you can try clear fingernail polish. I use to put it on my spinners mark in case they would wear off.
never thought of clear fingernail hardener. I make my own ice fishing jigs and use it for a top clearcoat, i'll try that.
As for turning clear up and adjusting down to the taste, don't think I want to try that. I use cotton wicks and don't want to take the chance of burning it. Making a 4v mark will do, I mainly stayed around there when the marks showed. Tks all for the info/help
