I prefer Kanthal due to its availablity and quick oxidizing due to the Aluminum
but for longer lasting coils NiChrome ( harder to oxidize)...

Kanthal differences are the percentages of Aluminum in it ( 4 - 7 %)

Why is oxidation important in vapes?

when oxidized, it creates an insulative coating on the wire. Makes it a bit more impervious to coil to coil conduction when doing compressed coils...

I like the 5% range but dont find any difference in taste or function at either the other percentages....

melting temps are way up there for both wire types way beyond the ability of our little batteries to accomplish... but that doesnt mean they wont turn the coil bright red and "pop" it .. but actually melt it into a puddle nope..
