Ah yeah, that's a common thing for me. But this is coming from the threaded section where the cap screws onto the electrode top. :\

That't cut ally pretty common if it's flooding. If he wick gets too crusty Ti can start acting like a straw and floor very quickly. A hick cleaning of the wick should get you right back to normal :)

***Here is what I put in before, must have been an auto-correct gone VERY VERY wrong, lol***

That's actually pretty common if it's flooding. If the wick gets too crusty it can start acting like a straw and flood very quickly. A quick cleaning of the wick should get you right back to normal :)

I apologize if those errors offended anyone, I should have reviewed it before hitting send.

keep it clean every few days. Flooding stays minimal.
Lord, edited, came off as rude, didn't mean to:beer:

It didn't offend me. After the day I've had, it made me burst out laughing. :) And ya, I think I'm due for a cleaning.
Loft i have some O-Rings from my ody i put one on as soon as i got my Katana, i put it around the threads on the bottom where the top cap goes on for the mouthpiece and no leaking just make sure that the air hole lines up with the wick and you will have no issues buddddd

send some pic loft to see what is happening i got mine rockin in 5 min no problem just have to get use to it and you will know what to fix to get it working, you can also try to move the whole wick very carefully up to see if it works, also make sure the wick is not touching the ground post

Ummm I'll try to take one with my webcam. My cellphone fell on the floor at work and the lcd screen no longer shows a picture so I can't post pictures from it... brb...

Yeah... got it so that it's not shorting but for some reason it keeps getting a hot spot in the open air from top of ss mesh to tall electrode. And, it just won't create a layer on that part of the wire... *shrug*

That might not be a short at all, if the lead in open air is too long it will get very hot there. If you move the wire where it first touches the wick after the hot spot and it doesn't cool off then it's a not a short there, perhaps the wick is touching the bottom of the tank or the electrode that the hot spot is on . If the coil glows nicely and the hanging wire is just hotter than the rest then it's because too much wire is in open air.

It's a balancing act, but one that you will be able to do very easily and intuitively in time. :)

Yeah, it's the wire in open air - but no matter how many times I try to wrap it behind and around (not following the screw threads) it shorts. If I follow the screw threads, it doesn't short but it does have the open air hot spot. I can't get it any closer, though.

loft - I took a small screwdriver and used it to sort of push a 90 degree angle in the wire where it leaves the wick. My wire was sort of arcing away from the wick going to the post, so I just pushed it to where it stays against the wick and then goes straight to the post ....

so it looks like ..... O-o does this make sense?
