Must be our turn with Harvey. Curfew, flash flood warning, tornado watch, pouring rain, & thunder & lightning. Making up for lost time! This is supposed to continue for several days. Praying we don't lose power.

Still hanging in there on my end. Power blinked off and on a few time just a couple of minutes ago. Ex-BIL's house was hit by a tornado a couple of hours ago... well, it didn't hurt the house; he, the dog, and the house are fine. Took out two huge oak trees in the front yard, flattened nephew's car, ripped the back fence and threw it somewhere, dunno where... it's ugly out there!!

Mostly just lots of rain and lightning where I am... wind isn't even all that bad. Just hope it doesn't get too much worse around here... Love Y'all!!!

I tried to label this so y'all could see where we all are, but it's hard to read. Tap the pic & it will enlarge. Tejas is too far north to show here, but he's probably getting some rain, too.

I've been keeping an eye on the storms because my oldest son and his family live in the same town that @Kaezziel lives in.

We're fine... it's not even raining here yet. The most we're expected to get is 4 inches. We're about 200 miles N/NE of Houston.
Sorry for not checking in. I've been busy putting together a big pot of Texas Chili. Should be ready in another couple of hours.
Glad to hear you are doing well. A good Texas Chili can not be rushed.

Sorry you aren't sleeping well. Now that kenna and tejas have checked in, maybe you could try just not worrying. Yanno what they say, it don't do no good and God's got it all under control. I know that it's still hard not to worry bout stuff, but try not to.
It's nice to hear you are doing well, Deb.
My not sleeping well has nothing to do with the weather in Texas. I learned a long time ago, worry works. How many times have you worried about something and the worry happened. So worry works, it keeps the bad things at bay. I'm a recovering alcoholic, I can justify anything! :thumb::nun::w00t:

I copy and pasted this recipe to a word file for later use. :rickroll:

How is he doing, Brother? We've gotten quite a bit of rain and some of the areas around here do flood pretty well... hope they are safe and dry!

Good morning! Still here, still safe & dry. Still have power! Yay! We got 9" of rain in one hour right before I got off here last night. It rained pretty steadily all nightn with maybe a 5 - 30 minute break occasionally. So we are flooded in. Houston's bayou's have topped off so it's a water world out there. Community is working to help each other which is what we do.

Kenna, I'm glad you checked in and are still dry! The pictures coming out of the flooding are horrendous!

Good morning frienz!! Busy, busy, busy day on tap for me today. Got this yesterday so today will be spent moving most of it to fill an old plastic fish pond that the bottom cracked in plus filling in the hole where the dead tree was that's now housing a 4x4 set in concrete. Lots of dirt and rocks to move. Then there's the normal house stuff to do. All help is welcome!! :D
