    Thank you Robin.

I agree with you. We must be our own most staunch advocates. I've always done so but the ibternet has made it so much easier.

I too am a tea drinker. My only vice in life…I use loose leaf teas only that I put in the tea ball to steep and usually drink at least a quart a day. I have the Stsnley 14 oz mug that looks just like your coffee press.

But you say you use the coffee press to make loose leaf tea?

Also I wonder if there is any research about any other forms of cancer that dandelion root is good for? I guess I'll google it.
Let us know what you find. I'm fascinated by this, too. Wonder if it helps nausea, which I get from anxiety pretty often.:)

A quick search came up with these two studies. The first one is a peer-reviewed paper, 27 pages. The second one is about dandelion for pancreatic cancer.

The Efficacy of Dandelion Root Extract in Inducing Apoptosis in Drug-Resistant Human Melanoma Cells

Selective induction of apoptosis and autophagy through treatment with dandelion root extract in human pancreatic cancer cells. - PubMed - NCBI

And this one has some interesting things to say about dandelions for health issues. BTW I know nothing about the website (healthline) but I didn't check their info anywhere else.

    @Robino1 You're Welcome :)
I truly hope and pray you get rid of this nasty cruel disease.

Where I live they don't have the raw form, not in tea bags of roasted Dandelion. I buy the raw form from Amazon. You can find it on other sites. But you can buy the tea bags from Walmarts or any health food store has it in the tea bags.
It needs too steep for 10-15 mins before drinking.
Good info! Thanks for sharing this!

When I have dandelion I add the loose tea to it, let it steep and drink. Also do the same with Hibiscus flower, roasted Chicory and Elderberry, plus I add a little bit of Turmeric. When I'm only having hot tea I put the tea bags in the coffee press. Leave the tea bags in it and refill it at most three times. I do the same for the herbs...refill it. I pour it into a coffee cup, then refill the coffee press. Of course the first cup has the strongest taste.
Don't get me wrong I still have the dandelion tea three times daily.

Yup, it sure does. I saw you had posted a few links.

    Where do I get this?

Hi! You can buy it in tea bags, a box of 16 in almost any vitamin store to try it
    upload_2017-11-6_2-10-35.jpeg
I bought mine at iherb dot com when I tried it.
Be advised that dandelion is a strong diuretic.. If you like it and it helps you
I suggest you buy it in bulk from: Dandelion root, roasted, c/s ,
    cut and sifted
A pound for 14 bucks plus shipping or a ¼lb at $5.60 is a lot less expensive than a box of Yogi for four bucks.
You can buy a teaball for 2 dollars on ebay or Walmart if you don't already have one.

Hibiscus is also a very good herb tonic and good for your heart,
and it tastes good! I buy the dried flowers by the pound
and often mix it with hawthorn to extract in PGA (Everclear).

Good morning :) I've been reading along here with the discussion f dandelion root. I've also been reading elsewhere on how to procure it naturally(like out of my yard since there's a bunch of dandelions out there) but I'm confused on how to use it. Do you add the dandelion root to other tea mixes or just make tea out of the root itself. I'm not a big tea drinker unless it's Lipton sweet iced tea that I drink all day.

    Good morning, LynnNC.
You don't have to add other tea to the dandelion, that is just what I prefer.

I have a keurig. Easy to make a cup of tea. I also have this really cute teapot that fits under it. :)
Wasn't sure if you had an easier way, that is why I posted a link...just incase :)
I have a cute teapot too. But it is too cute to use, LOL, so it just sits there doing nothing, it is dreaming of a day it will be useful :)

Lynn, the other herbs are mostly for taste. Roasted dandelion root tastes pretty good
but raw it tastes like your lawn...

I was reading yesterday about how I could pull up dandelion roots up out of my yard and roasting them myself. I live in NC and my yard is full of dandelions. And since I don't use pesticides for anything(except for trying to annihilate a huge yellow jacket nest) I read that I could use the roots in my yard to roast.
