Sorry I havent checked in. Been mostly at the H. Irma thread…exchanging "war" stories with other Floridians.

Anyway the worst of it has been on us since about 11:30pm…not letting up yet…not supposed to until about 6am. Our power went out seceral times yesterday evening but always xame back on until about a half hour ago. So time for the gennie.

I'm scared to death. The sound of the wind and rain is just awful so havent slept at all. I really should try to sleep for a few hours. I'll report back in the morning.

BTW Classy lost power a few hours ago and doesnt have internet on her phone. But she's ok.

Thanks for the update on you and Classy. I wouldn't be able to get any sleep during weather like you are experiencing. If we are having tornado warnings I'm glued to the TV or radio.

Still at friend's house but came through OK. DH will go check our house and if all is OK will come get me and the pups. Power out but generator working

Damn... just checked on the Vape Showcase that was supposed to be here in Houston this weekend. They rescheduled it for November... but they MOVED IT TO DALLAS!! :

I'm glad to see our Florida contingent reporting in, being okay. Where I live we get a wee bit of the fluffy white stuff in the winter, but hurricanes, tornados, etc. are a real rarity.

I'm glad to see so many of our FL friends checking in. I'm hoping our TX friends are faring well - y'all kinda lost the limelight with this one.

SO's Mom and Dad have their winter hangout in Bradenton. Sounds like not too much damage there - a couple of carports (I don't think Mom 'n' Dad's), but not much major besides that in their park. Old Jr/Sr High School friend lives on Marco Island. Haven't heard how she's faring. Cousin in Jacksonville - no word there either. Another cousin and a co-worker in the Atlanta area. Some friends had been at Myrtle Beach this week. Their home-bound flight got cancelled today. Hopefully they'll be heading home tomorrow....

This has been a psycho couple of weeks. Love and Light to you all!

Been sort of busy day here. Went to LRHG's school for "Grandparents Day" (her new school is tiny), After we got home, I started disassembling the garden.
Last night, I had a sudden need to organize our washroom/pantry. Moved the freezer 3 times, before I was happy. (paying for that today).

Yeah, I was kinda hopin' to make it a "me" weekend and go both days... now I guess I'll just have to figure out how I wanna spend the weekend. Not sure yet if I'll be going back to help Tricia's friend with her house/stuff or if I'll just stay home and work on my own crap.

TX is rolling along in clean up & recovery mode. Everyone still helping each other. Mayor of Houston trying to raise property taxes 9% to pay for it. Ummm...no. There are City, County, State & Fed taxes that cover recovery funds & haven't been used in years. Attention needs to go to Florida. Espevially with Jose on his way.

@DingerCPA Jax got hit pretty bad. Especially at the beaches. Stirm surges. Downtown area is flooded, many neighborhoods were evacuated & 180K people still have no power.

I'm sure your cousin is ok but is unable to contact you.
