If it's hitting harder than you're used to, I would try lowering the nic level and going back up to the power setting you're used to. See if that makes it any better. Kayfuns aren't meant for much more than 15 watts if even that, so it very well might just be more power than the kayfun can keep up with.

I personally didn't lower my nic level when going Kayfun for the first time, but have lowered it after a few weeks of higher wattage dripping.

As noted, it depends on the individual. I run 12mg-24mg in my RTAs at 25W-30W and everything from 3mg to 18mg in my drippers from 40W-80W. Just depends on my mood. Sometimes I *really* need to take the edge off.

I guess I should note that I don't have any foreseeable goals for nicotine cessation.

If you set it up right it will easily handle 20 watts and then some. 15 watts is just starting to enter what lots of us consider the optimal power range.
I initially dropped my nic level when I moved to a kayfun. Ended up moving back up to 12 mg. Seems about right for me. The setup and power supplied can affect what nic level works best for a user. Example, 32g coil at 10 watts could require 18 mg juice for you to be happy, while a 28g coil at 20watts might cause you to like 12mg better. You'll just have to experiment to be sure. Good luck.

I really enjoy an intense vape with heavy throat hit. I vape NET exclusively and extract my own so I have tremendous flexibility when it comes to nic content/level in my juice. When I first started (mini pro-tank at 12 watts), I used 24+mg nic content. When I switched to RBAs my first tank atty was a Kayfun+ (0.7 ohm coil at 25watts), and I did lower nic from 24mg to 15mg at that point. When I switched to using dual coil RTAs (0.6 ohm coils at 30 watts), I lowered nic to 12mg which is the same nic level I use when dripping on a dual coil RDA.
