I've been vaping for 20+ months. Been thru many top coil, bottom coil clearos/tanks and have settled into carto tanks for the last 3 months. I love my carto tanks because they don't leak, don't gurgle, just a good consistent vape.

However, I know my next step will likely be a Kayfun...at least as a backup just in case the vape apocalypse comes.

My confusion is in all of the iterations. Kayfun, Kayfun 3.1, Kayfun lite, lite plus, lite plus v2, and whatever other version there are. Then the makers...ehpro, tribeca, hcigar...

It doesn't help when the vendor doesn't specify the manufacturer, or the specific version, but that's another issue.

What I'd like to know is, what is the different between each of these, which manufacturers are better. I want to get it right the first time.

As I understand it the lite is just smaller than the original (without the leak collection bottom), the plus adds the airflow screw, and the lite v2 just refines these. Not sure what the 3.1 is all about. Also it seems the ehpro gets higher marks. Is that the basics.

That is the basics..Those that you have stated are the clone versions of the real version. The lite plus v2 is the newest of all of them..I have read the Hcigar and ephro are the best ones. I'm not sure as I just got a real Russian 91% which is like the Kayfun lite v2. But thinking of getting a clone for when I'm out and about.

Another question.

Is the airflow control screw really that beneficial. From some of the threads I've read, some think they are more trouble than they're worth and some just remove it completely.

Well I like having the option if I choose to use it so to me it is worth it, I haven't had to even touch mine on my Russian as it's perfect. Mine has a little screw on the side of the tank which is so easy to open it up if I want. I'm not sure how the clones work. Before I got my Russian 91% V2 I was looking at the clones and showed my hubby the price of the real ones and then the clones, he stated he would rather have me get something that is well made instead of buying a clone that might not last as long, he said if the clone chit's the bed after a month then I would have to buy a 2nd one and by time I did that it would have cost me the same as a real one, so he said get the real one and I didn't think twice I jumped on the site I got it from in 2 seconds flat and so happy I did. We are not rich but he said he doesn't like to keep replacing things as it starts to get expensive. which it does..lol

I own two authentic Kayfun Light+ v2 and a authentic Russian 91%, and I much prefer the Kayfun Light+ v2. If your looking for clones, the Ehpro KFL+ v2 is the one to get, if your trying to get the real deal then your looking for Svoemesto Kayfun Light+ v2, distributed in the United States by VapeRev. They are running a sale today with the code "MEMORIAL2014".
