I love mine. I use 28G KA1 and build between .9 and 1.5 ohms. And yes, that will work, but ALMOST any slender tip bottle will fit in the hole. No need to go with a needle tip. They are a PITA to fill a 5ml tank with. Takes forever and you have to let go and let it suck back some air a couple of times. Which brand of clone are you thinking?

Im thinking of buying the Kayfun lite (clone) from fasttech.
I have a few general questions

1- when building my coil, I want to be around 1.4-1.8ohms, what gage wire should I use?
2- what size drill bit should I use?
3-will a regular needle bottle (like https://www.fasttech.com/products/3099/10002091/1425400-e-liquid-refiller-bottle-for-electronic-cigarette this?)

1: 28 gauge kanthal a1 ; or 30 gauge
2: 2 to 3 mm
3: yep those should be fine; those are 10mm; i bought a 10 pack of those, but I never use them; i use the 50mm version.

Have you considered Kayfun V4? I never used Kafun lite because it is fillet though tiny hole with screw. I do not like idea of such complicated multi-step filling:
1. Unscrew a tank from a mod.
2. Find a screwdriver.
3. Unscrew a screw.
4. Fill using needle-nosed bottle (painfully slow).
5. Screw a screw back.
6. Screw a tank to a mod.
I should say I cannot compare kayfuns lite and V4 on performance and ease of wicking.

I’ve been building with 28 ga wire around 2.5 mil pin w/ 8-1/2 wraps = 1.5 ohms.

When filling I never use the screw in the bottom. I cover the air vent on the bottom with a finger, unscrew the top, almost fill, catch a couple of threads to reassemble, turn it upside down & open the vent, & take a couple of hits while it is still upside down.

Easy & toolless. You’ll love that Kayfun.

If single coil, then why the extra screws? Not bein a "richard", just askin. Knowledge is power.

Extra screws are just extra screws (you may consider them as spares or, if you wish, you can mount two coils). Holes on both sides provide juice to a (single) wick. No flooding because of (I believe) vacuum in a tank, only capillary action. I do not have leaks and I always store my mod (and tank) in horizontal position.

And you can to put a new coil without emptying tank. Just unscrew tank (when it is upside down), unscrew chimney and you can do your work. I even do not take it from a mod usually.

I get what you're saying, but im trying to stay within a certain budget, especially for my first RTA
