If you're wanting to fix the juice channels, I did it free hand with a cheap dremmel. Just get the right bit, start on a slow speed, wear gloves, and have patience.

I am a Grade A klutz and a doofus on too many (non-recreational) medications, and I did it. Fairly successfully.
Ergo, pretty much anyone can do it.

Now, if yr talking about drilling out anything ELSE, please ignore everything I just wrote. ;)

Bah I still need to take my be clone to a vape shop with a drill press.

Ah. Gotcha. I'm no handy-man but I've learned to use a handful of tools that I never thought I would have the need for.

I haven't had any problems with the channels, just the tighter draw since it's .4mm smaller then authentics. Also don't have a dremel lol

Has anyone tried to drill out the airhole on the black edition? It seems like there isn't enough meat towards the top of the base to do it safely as the airholes are larger than Tobeco's v1 clones already.

Currently, with the airflow screw completely removed, essentially creating another airhole at the bottom, the draw is very open, but when flush mounting on like a Chi You I've noticed it tightens up a bit, not a ton as I can still do lung inhales just fine, but just a tad tighter than I prefer.

I'm thinking of drilling another airhole in the top cap of the Chi You, on the opposite side of the three small airholes and then grinding down the 4 protruding top parts of the 510 connector on the top cap to allow unimpeded airflow to essentially anything that still uses bottom airflow, like this clone with screw removed and SQuape, etc.

My thought is I really won't be losing any structural integrity because the atty will be supported by the mech's outer walls anyway, since it will be flush mounted. Anyone tried this yet?

The version 2 of the black edition went back on sale on eBay. The updates include:
ADJUSTABLE 510 PIN CONNECTOR!

IMPROVED METAL BOTTOM AIR FLOW CONTROL SYSTEM!

LIFT UP AIR CHANNEL SCREW TO AVOID LEAKING FROM CHAMBER!

UPGRADED STAINLESS STEEL!

IMPROVED O RINGS AND DRIP TIP.

IMPROVED THREADING

COMES WITH CLEAR AND METAL TANKS!

I think the airflow hole is bigger now as well. It's 2mm in diameter now.

Ive been so busy to find a place that has a drill press to drill out the stupid 1.4mm to a 1.6mm. I figured 2mm would be too close to the top but would like to drill it to 2mm. But updated Tobeco V2.5 making me deal with this crap just pisses me off.

Actually the black edition v2 was up for only around 24 hours. He's out again.

Looking closely, I don't think there are any actual upgrades, other than the block in the deck and the 510 seal also being black in color.

The airhole looks to be the same size as all the other Tobeco v2 clones, which do have a much larger airhole than the standard Tobeco clones.

Taken directly from the eBay listing:

----------
V2 UPGRADES:

REDESIGNED 510 PIN!

UPGRADED INSULATORS!

UPGRADED THREADING!

AIRFLOW EXPANDED TO 2MM!

ADDED FULL SIZE M TANK!
----------

Examining the new pictures closer, the 510 pin appears to be the same 2-pc design found on all Tobeco v2 clones (black/silver/super mega onyx diamond edition/etc).

The upgraded insulators just appear to be black in color, over your standard white.

Not really sure how the threading can be upgraded, I guess better machining, but the v2's already have good threads.

The larger airhole seems to be the big question here, but judging by the pics, it looks to be the same size and placement as all Tobeco v2 KFL+ clones.

With that said, you now get a full size M-tank with your purchase at the same price as the "v1" black edition. I bought two before, so I don't see any reason to not buy this one, I just don't think much was actually upgraded here. In my opinion, all the Tobeco v2 clones are worth the price he is asking.

I ordered the newer ver. 2 on Monday night , it should be here tomorrow, will see what the differences are soon. I have absolutely no problem with the first version privatedeal sold.
I will probably buy Svoes authentic and new version 2 for 99 bucks when that comes back in stock. These things really blow!

You can get the authentic v2 from InTaste in Germany. Just use chrome and google's translate feature. Worked great for me. The funny thing is they ship just as fast if not faster than most US-based retailers. In fact I've noticed in general that the customer service I receive from non-US retailers seems to be, on average, far better.

After watching some YouTube reviews and read some reviews in ECF, I decided on the kayfun lite because of the ease of building the device and the price! As soon as my Kayfun came I opened it up, wrapped a 3/4 of 32gauge kanthal on 2mm silica secured it to the post made sure wires were not touching metal, then filled it with juice and WOW WHAT A GREAT VAPE!!!!! So easy to do and now opens up a whole new world for me, like micro coils and different cotton and silicas, I am so impressed with this product, I have been using it for 2 weeks now and my poor drippers and AMP tank have been staying home!

Hey guys. I just ordered one of these Kayfun Lite Plus clones from ebay, it's listed as a new 2014 Tobeco clone in a "grey/silver edition" box and comes with the clear plastic tank, SS tank, as well as an extra colored tank of your choice for about $45 shipped. Pretty good deal if you ask me, then again I have nothing to compare it to since this is my first RBA tank and the other RBAs I have are the small IGO-S ones that look flush on my iTaste VV3.

This one has the air flow control, adjustable center pin (from what it looks like) and standard 510 drip connection. Hopefully this is the 'good' one, maybe some other people can order one so we can compare. I'd like to get a Nano kit as well, I don't vape a ton and the tank reservoir looks rather big. Do I have to use cotton wick or will silica or ekowool be good enough? Cotton seems to have a monster throat hit to me and I don't like it that harsh.

So I dared to drill my real kfl+ 1/4 of the way with 5/64 to fix the whistle and it worked with a regular bit. Gave me enough confidence to attempt my clone airhole and it broke halfway under the AFC hole lol. With wd40 and a chain ring I was able to get it out. Oh well.

You can flange the air hole with a dremel to stop the whistling.
