Yeah that. I think how that's supposed to work is when he has it in stock, it's 49.90, and only that one shows up. When it's out of stock, only the cheaper pre-order option is available.

Did you get that impression also? Not that he's overtly nasty or anything just very terse. But I do like the results of the changes he's getting from the Chinese clone makers.

Well yeah. All my past PMs to him enquiring about shipment days are either met with "next Monday" or just a specific date. Not a word more. Wrote to him about the m tank not fitting, and he didn't have much to say except that he would send me a new one.

Truth be told, if not for the exceptional product he carries, I would probably never transact him with again; like you said, it's not that he's nasty, but he's also not even remotely nice or friendly either haha

But yeah. I'm just glad that fella
1) can actually recognize what's wrong with his product
2) is willing to change stuff + actually get the Chinese manufacturers to produce em.

I do wonder if the day will come when he actually innovates beyond the authentic kayfun, and comes up with a clone that's better. That will be sweet.

At least the prices look wicked from what I've seen so far. A very ho-hum run of the mill looking version that simply got colored but the cheapest I've seen yet is $60+. No way for me at those prices.

I agree the price point is what swayed me away from buying one. Don't get the slap some different color paint on a KFL+ charge an extra $28 bucks dealie.

Is there actually a difference between what Privatedeal is selling and the other black edition ones listed on ebay (such as the ones mentioned above?). I did go to his website but there is no mention on when the pre-orders will be fulfilled...

Your question is gonna incite very very polarizing response.

But heck while we are at this, I'm gonna throw it out there that at this point, privatedeal's clones are pretty much the only clones I'll buy. They've been consistently stellar. But that's only my opinion.

Semi short answer for you. Artemis, the seller on eBay, had a clone maker create a version of the Kayfun with specific changes. Those are the Black edition Kayfun. There is nothing stopping the clone maker from changing their standard Kayfun to have the same changes. There's nothing stopping another clone maker from copying those changes and producing a Kayfun that's exactly the same. Whether anyone else is getting Kayfun clones made with those changes is a matter of conjecture. Whether those changes make a difference and whether those changes mean a better vape is a matter of opinion. I do know I really like the vape I get from my Black edition.

Now that he has his own site and is offering a discount ($40 instead of $50) if you pre-order and pay up front, I can't see paying almost $40 and taking a chance on what you get. But that's just me.

I see no problem with this version, it is made by Tobeco with specific upgrades, free shipping, and the nano kit...what's not to like about it.

I agree, I really want the black edition cause I have heard good things about it and the black one would look good on my mod but the 60$ price point is pretty expensive on this one

I would guess not since someone said artemis is the one who had the clone makers make him the black edition.. but if anyone finds one like in the link thats cheaper let me know and ill scoop it up..

just bought the kayfun lite plus black edition on ebay it is supposed to be better than the other clones and was wondering if anyone has tried it out yet.

I have one and it works great. At first I hated it, but once I got past the learning curve I really like the vape and flavor. I have the authentic kayfun that is back in stock at vaperev. I ordered another one. So I would spend the extra for the real one, but if that is not possible the black edition would be my second choice. I ordered a nano kayfun from ebay and that, thing is driving me crazy. Somehow I am going to make it work. Hope you love the kayfun as much as I do. I can't recommend the nano kayfun clone. Hopefully it will get better.

For me especially as a newish vapor and coil builder the clones are much more difficult. But the upside is I have learned how to use a dremel and improvised with parts from other clones to get one nano kayfun off ebay to kinda work. I will never quit trying to get this little kayfun to work. It is just too cute to put in the spare part junk box quite yet . I did order another real kayfun. Actually I would have spent less on wasted juice, dremel I had to buy and lots of time if I had bought one real kayfun instead of,three clones. For the experienced builder, clones may be the better way to go.

It really depends on the clone you buy. The only problem with the better clones (all clones have this problem) is manufacturing consistency, which can be eliminated on the consumer side by vendors who inspect their product before selling it.
