I'm new to all this and am assembling my first setup after giving up on the cig-a-likes that didn't work well for me in the past. After reading all of the recommendations and reviews on the kayfun I decided I'd go with them. I purchased what I thought were two authentic svoemesto Kayfun Lite Plus atomizers, but after receiving them today I have my doubts. Everything looks correct, the box, the logo and all. But the drip tip, it's not at all like the pictures and photos of the Kayfun Lite's I've seen. I purchased these from intaste.de based on recommendations I've read here and figured they would be reputable and not rip me off. But I'm not happy if I've ended up with a clone for the price of an authentic Kayfun. I've found it impossible to remove either drip tip from the top, they just won't budge. Looking at the pictures, can anyone tell me what I actually got?

Twisted did a video recently and he had a clone that came in a box complete with the safety seal attached! But his wasnt laser etched on the bottom like yours and the real ones. Whatever the heck that means anymore. Vape it, if it's good, who cares. If it suxs, chuck it.

If I paid for an original and got a half/third price clone I'd better be getting my money back.

Something ain't right here.

I went on to the SvoeMesto website and none of their Kayfuns have that funny drip tip. Also, the authentic Kayfun Lite Plus has a removable drip tip. Something is really fishy here. I would try to get my money back if I were you.

Think about it. SvoeMesto doesn't sell those drip tips or include them in their Kayfuns at all. So either it's a clone and the seller is ripping people off. Or it is an original Kayfun and the seller OPENED the packaging, swapped out the drip tip, and then sold it to you as new.

The issue would be money spent and quality of materials used. He spent over $100 on it, I don't think he's going to just chuck it in the trash. The cheaper mods and atomizers are cheaper because they use lower quality materials. This could also be a health concern if you have eliquid in contact with brass that has lead in it. I.e. the chrome-plated brass clearomizers/atomizers.

In this case it's obviously stainless steel, but if it's not a genuine svoemesto product it's only worth $50-80, not the $102+shipping that was paid.

OP: It's a possibility that they did swap out the drip tips. I don't know why intaste would start screwing people with clones and ruin their reputation. Plus they're in the same country as svoemesto and I *think* an authorized reseller. I don't know, please let us know what they say!

It's 8am in Germany right now. Hope you've already sent an email.

I emailed intaste.de, they claim that this is the correct drip tip. Quoting their email:

This is not a clone or copy. This ist original Kayfun Lite Plus from SvoeMesto.
This are the new DripTips from SvoeMesto. SvoeMesto deceided to change the DripTip. The other will no longer exist.

So, if that's the case, I'm satisfied. I just didn't want to pay that much for a couple of clones, no matter how good they looked. Everything else about these are great, the machining is top notch, it was just that drip tip that threw me back. I would feel a lot better if I saw a photo of the new drip tip on SvoeMesto's website.

Have you tried putting the top cap/drip tip in the freezer for about 30 minutes to see if that will let you remove the drip tip? I do not know if this will help with your problem, but I seen it help loosen other items on tanks that are stuck. If the drip tip is treaded or just a tight slip fit, this might solve your problem.

I've also emailed SvoeMesto to ask if they have indeed changed their design, awaiting a response. I can't believe a place with the reputation intaste.de has would send me such an obvious fake. I was worried though when I couldn't find any mention of this change anywhere yesterday.

This morning I did see this http://www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/SM-TIP2

So I did receive a Kayfun Lite Plus with the newly designed drip tip.

I'll try the freezing method this evening to see if I can get either of these drip tips off. I'm not sure if it should be unscrewed or if it's simply pushed in. Looking at the photo from Cloud9, I don't see any threads and it appears it may simply be pushed into the top. I've tried pulling and twisting, doesn't budge either way.

Took it outside in the freezing cold for a few minutes, came back in and was able to quite easily pull the tip off. I had been trying to unscrew it mostly. I had pulled on it a bit also, but didn't really try very hard because I thought the drip trip screwed into the top. Now I feel dumb, told you I was new to all this!

I actually prefer this tip to the smooth rounded one that I thought I was going to get. I had already thought about buying a different one to replace it.
