Kayfun Lite V2 & Turtle Ship V1 Fitment Problems

Hey guys,
I just received my Geobukson Turtle Ship mod clone from fasttech. (https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007432/1624700-turtle-ship-v1-style-mechanical-mod)

Upon arrival, I assembled the KFL+ on my 18350 Turtle Ship tube because I vape with a 18350 battery. The connection was great and the vape was solid. However, because the kayfun's 510 connector pin is a bit long, the top pin on my Turtle sank which is how the Turtle Ship is I'm assuming, built. In result, When I screwed the bottom firing pin onto the tube, it doesn't screw in all the way. I know a lot of people have battery rattling issues with the Turtle Ship, but it seems like I'm having the opposite! I don't have enough room!

Here are some pictures.

Out of frustration, I tried shortening the length of the 510 connector by screwing in the center screw. The mod still didn't sit flush on the bottom, firing pin end, and to my surprise, I think I shorted my battery. It made quick hissing sound, and the battery stopped working. I quickly took out the battery, and it was hot. Thanks for your help!

I can't see the mod well in the photos. Can you link the FT item so I can look at the mod?

I suspect when you played with the 510 pin on the kayfun, your positive block moved, which caused the short. The 510 is not adjustable on that atty. It holds the positive block in place. Your going to need to remove your build, put the block straight and tighten it back down.

Ok, I'm not 100% sure from looking at the FT pics, but are there seperate adjustments on the top cap for the 510 and for battery rattle? If so, can you bring the bottom one for battery rattle farther up? The switch doesn't look adjustable at all. The top cap looks similar to a Paps 2.5. What I do with the Paps is bring the one for the 510 down then screw the atty into the top cap. Then I turn the 510 adjustment until its tight to the attys 510. I put on the switch and put in the battery from the top. Then I adjust that bottom wheel on the top cap until it makes contact with the battery and the top cap screws in all the way.

If it can't be adjusted enough for your battery, do you have a button top battery? If so, a flat top may fit.
