Kayfun Ohm issues?

Just got my EHpro kayfun in today. Built it up and works great. Just checked my ohms again(on my tesla) and it says 4.3. What could be causing this and should I be worried? Can't pull it apart now as I'm not home. Still produces vapor and hasn't affected vape quality that I've noticed.

I apologize for any spelling/grammar mistakes as I'm typing this on my phone. -.-'

Forgot to mention when built it was between 1.2-1.8 ohms. I can't recall the exact number at the moment.

What size Kanthal, gauge, did you use and how many wraps around what size drill or needle?

Did you lift the coil off the air center air hole and how much off the air hole?

Did you tighten the screws fairly snug?

When IO wrap a coil and install it in one of my Kayfun's it stay the same resistance through many many wick changes. Actually it never changes.

I suspect you didn't tighten the screws down properly and it is losing contact.

Loose connection was what I was thinking as well. Just wanted some input before I emptied it completely. But when I built it(30g twisted kanthal, 9wraps 1.4mm) I lifted it so it didn't touch and tightened the connections as much as I could.

Had loose connections before just never saw it jump up AND down before. I'll update once I get home if I find the cause.

Thanks again for the input.

Why are you using twisted 30g wire???????

You get the same resistance from 28g with 8 wraps around a 3/32 drill bit.

Your problem is you didn't twist the wire tight enough and since you are trying to secure 2 separate strands of wire under those little screws one of them is not making good contact.

When you can switch to 28g and use a single wire for your coil wrap.
