Kayfun V4 Clone Issues?

Hey, everyone,

It's been a while since I've been on, hope everyone's doing well...

So, I got my dad into vaping (now ex-smoker, yay! :D) and he picked up a Mutation X V5 clone, a Tesla 120W box, and a kayfun V4 Clone.

Now, as one may be able to tell from the thread title, I'm having a bit of an issue with the kayfun. I've wicked and coiled it as GrimmGreen says

Buuut I'm having problems with the juice control.. Uh, thing, I suppose. It fires fine, but, it seems like the juice isn't properly reaching the coils, so, I'm having a dry hit for every hit that last longer than two seconds. Furthermore, I'm finding that the bottom rings (I suppose the knurled ring with the air holes in 'em and the ring closest to the contact which is supposed to control juice flow) are sticking together or simply not being able to turn. I also have the Aspire Nautilus and the Kanger Subtank and I tried taking dry pulls to help move the juice through, but it's just notttt working /:

Could someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!

Do you have your wick covering the juice channels?

That seems like the most likely problem. If your wick is covering the juice channels then the juice will be blocked and can't get into the well. You want to make sure the juice can flow freely into the well first and then be picked up by your wick.

Another thing to watch out for is using too much wicking material. If you're using cotton then screw your deck into the mod, insert the wick into the coil, and then gently tug the wick back and forth without holding the mod. If it makes the mod tilt or fall over there is too much wick and it's constricting the juice flow to the coil. You don't want it so loose that it just slides right out, but you don't want it so tight that it makes the mod fall over either. Also, don't twist the part of the wick that goes through the coil. You want the fibers to be loose and straight so the liquid can flow freely through the fibers. If you twist it then you're pinching off the space that the liquid would flow through.

I have had this problem before. the problem with mine was a poor seal between part 17 and part 5
It could be the O ring 16 or the parts aren't sealing together good.
There are 4 different ways you can turn part 17 try all 4 and see witch gives the best seal between the 2 parts. it could also be the O ring 16
a poor seal in this area affects the vacuum and can cause dry hits.

What exactly are the juice channels? Haha, sorry, I'm a new guy to this Kayfun thing.

Are those the holes drilled next to the posts or the holes in part 26 from that diagram that Steamer posted?

Yeah, I figured some of the problem was the O-Ring and the O-Ring around the square base (part 16) was wayyy stiff. I soaked it in hot water for a bit then lubed it up with a bit of e-juice, it works like a charm.

Thanks!
