Ive been having this Gold kayfun v4 from fasttech since February . Obviously it is a clone . What I noticed since day one was that it was not heating up fast enough . It takes longer than all of my other attomoziers for the coil to light up when I am dry burning it and it produces the least amount of vapor . Ive taken the whole thing apart many times to see if I can find the problem but no sucess . Does anyone know what might be causing this ?

The juice control on the V4 must be fully open to make a good connection. To test this, put it on your ohms meter and open and close your JC and you will see the resistance rise and fall. Another factor that could decrease connectivity is the spring between the base and the deck. Separate these two pieces and inspect the spring to ensure that has not become over compressed. If it has, gently stretch it about one millimeter and reassemble the base and deck ensuring that all the pieces are clean and dry. After building it make sure that the retention screws are secure where they hold down the leg(s) of your coil(s). Sometimes after using it for awhile these screws can work their way loose. Good luck. Hope this helps

lol.. That's not good. You need to know what ohm you're at for occasions like this and to make sure you don't have a short.

There's a subohm kit for the kf4, and it comes with a beefier insulator, so I don't think it's a good idea to run it subohm stock otherwise they wouldn't sell it. Maybe someone who knows more about that can chime in. You're using really thick wire, but I can't guess what it is at. The kf4 isn't a cloud type tank but it produces a decent amount of vapor. You're really limited by the airflow.. Something the subohm kit also addresses.

no its just like my other ones 6 wraps of 24gauge around a medium-small screwdriver

:lol::lol: - Seriously, in a Kayfun? Have you tried Jumper cables to you car Batt.?

well i just found the answer , i will post the link , go ahead and read the first review . It is from a different person and just read the cons . It seems that my clone is just garbage . www.fasttech.com/p/2084101

No personal experience with the particular purchase. but the WHOLE 2 Reviews are split 50/50 - A good sign a NOB bought one.
Wrap the thing with 28ga. around 1.3ohm and enjoy what it is designed to do.

Has nothing to do with being a clone and everything to do with buying the wrong design for intended use/expectation.

IF this ever happens on any device - check that your coil in not shorting against the body. otherwise toss it.

At least this makes sense.

That's what I kept trying to tell him. He obviously doesn't believe me.

Of course the insulators might be melted now, which also explains things.
