I am getting ready to try a dual coil build on my kayfun V4 clone to bring it to my happy place of .8 ohm at 3.7 volts, 17 watts. I don't want to get a "sub ohm kit" unless I have to. Will this fry my (not peek) insulator?

You should get the sub ohm kit for the wide bore airflow if your gonna sub ohm. It only cost $4.
As long as your not dry burning it a lot I don't see how you can melt the delrin insulator though. Anything you can comfortably vape on a Kayfun 4 will not melt the insulator during normal usage. Now if you leave it auto firing or dry burning it will melt.

Thanks for your reply. I know it's a cheap upgrade and will probably order it sooner or later but I was anxious to do this rebuild tonight before I fill the tank and my local B&Ms don't carry small parts stuff-n-things like the kit.
Does .8 ohms and 17 watts count as "Do you even sub ohm, bro?"
