Yah those keystone battery holders like to catch the wrapping on my vtc's...it's just wrapping...I tore it off one of mine and it still works fine.

Some mods rely on the battery wrapper to insulate the negative portion away from contact, so a small tear or missing chunk will cause an autofire situation as soon as the mod is screwed together in that case. Very simple to re-wrap a battery, half of my batteries have been re-wrapped at least once.
