Get a whole mess of sony vtc5 18650s they last and last. And are 30amp rated.
ANd i strongly suggest getting a kayfun and a dripper or two. Youll be all set then
Youve got a beautiful mod just get th above batteries in it(if it accepts flat tops) and toss a rba ontop youll b lovin it.

For a dripper i auggest the magma or even a castle. Maybe a crown or a helios

Just my 2 cents

I agree with CloudsinCrowds. Invest in some good batteries and good charger. A Nitecore i2 charger is cheap (~$15) but will keep your batteries alive and running well a lot longer.

If you are looking to get into RBA's on a mechanical mod, then the Sony VTC5 is a great battery with high maximum continuous discharge amps, low internal resistance, and a good power curve. In short it is safe and performs well :)

You will need to get some resistance wire. I use Kanthal A1 in 26 AWG, 28, AWG, and 30 AWG depending on what I am building. In the US you can get it for $5 - $9 per 100 ft on a spool, depending on the gauge. I would go ahead and get a 100' spool of each, and that will last you a very long time.

For wick material, I usually use cotton. It is cheap, wicks very well, and is easy to come by. Others use silika, ekowool, SS rope, SS mesh or several other materials. Personally, I find cotton to be the most flexible. A $6 box of sterile rolled cotton or 2 bags of organic cotton balls is pretty much a life time supply.

Make sure to get an ohmmeter ($10 - $20). This will let you know the resistance on the coil you've built, if there is a short or open circuit, and they make a good atomizer stand for building.

For a starter RDA, I always recommend the IGO-W. It is a simple, solid 3 post dripper with the hole-in-post setup. An original should cost between $10 and $15. It is easy to build on and flexible enough that you can try some of the wackier coil builds later. Otherwise a Magma, Stillare, or Omega clone is very good and fairly cheap from FastTech.

For a starter Tank, I would recommend the Kayfun. My personal preference is for dual coil tanks like the Aqua, Fogger V4, or UD AGA-T7. But the Kayfun does a great job and is fairly easy to build. Given your budget, I would recommend a clone on the Kayfun or Aqua. The Fogger and AGA-T7 are original tanks that cost about $30.

If you have some room in your budget, I would recommend a couple good clone mods to go with. The Stingray or Nemesis provide nice appearance with good functionality. The Atom or Astro both look good, are fully telescopic, and perform well.

Good luck and happy vapes

I've had my SB for over 3 years, and trust me, it isn't going to be discarded anytime soon. That being said, the SB is what it is, and it isn't going to perform like a modern mechanical made of brass or copper.

However as long as you stay reasonable with your builds in a RBA they can be made/updated to work well.
I can take my KayFun off my Nemesis or Provari, and put them on my Kicked SB, and they don't know the difference.

I would skip the 32 and get some 28 AWG wire. I have 32 that never gets used unless I twist 2 - 4 strands of it. Or, just add the 28 since you're well within budget atm.

It looks like you still need to get batteries. Battery technology has gotten a lot better in the last couple months, let alone years :) Also assuming you have a good charger. If not the Nitecore i2 is about $15.

I'm not a genny fan, but the Kraken is pretty popular. It may go without saying, but make sure to pick up a couple drip tips in different lenghts and widths. Longer tips will cool the vape if it is too hot and wider tips can aerate the vaper, but at a loss of flavor.

I would add a cheap RDA ($5 - $15) and a Nemesis Clone ($15 - $25 from FastTech) to cover your bases and give options. RDA's are great for practicing your building skills and it is good to have a spare vape while your working on the other atty. The Hammer is an odd beast that many end up loving or hating, or often just not using. IMO it feels a little odd in 18650 mode and looks like a medieval asthma inhaler with a dripper on it.
