So everywhere I have read states that in order to prolong the life of your carto for reuse you must make sure it does not get too dry. After a couple of weeks of trial and error, I think I can tell when it is time to stop vaping on a carto and swap it out. My question is do I need to immediately refill that spent carto? I have been putting all my used ones aside and doing a mass filling when I am running low on filled cartos. I'm assuming since I don't vape them *completely* dry, they are still moist enough. And I make sure they are capped at all times when not in use.

TIA for any feedback.

I have been using 510/901 drip tips on my cartomizers lately. I use the cartomizer until the filler material starts to turn a bit dark then toss it (Usually about 3 or 4 days max). When using the drip tip I drop about 4-6 drops when it starts to taste a bit dry.

When I first started vaping I was doing pretty much the same thing you are. I ended up with a big bag of cartomizers that became stale. Plus when you change flavor juice there is really no way to get the old juice out and you end up with two or three different flavors in the cartomizer. Not good. Using one at a time for one flavor at a time is the best route IMHO.

The biggest problem with cartos would be to 'vape them dry' - where there's a chance of burning through the coil wrap and further or that you just burn out the coil.

As far as keeping them moist when removing - also a good idea - that's the reason why after manufacturing, they apply primer fluid to atomizers. So capping the carto, which with your method should still have enough juice to keep the atty wet, is a good practice.
