Hi there,

So I've read online that Kennedy clones are being made with copper that contains lead. Is this true or a myth. I'm debating on buying a Kennedy Clone to see if I like it before buying an authentic but the talks about lead in the clones have me frightened off. Also it's hard to drop $120+ CAD on an rda. Anyone out there that have bought clones and experienced issues or becoming sick? Thanks

Well $120 is hard to swallow but if it's what you want, it may be worth it. I bought the clone of the Twisted Messes but I had to buy the original and it was way better then the clone, however it was on $59 plus shipping (in the US).

I've ran many clones, some are stainless steel, some copper and some brass. Depending on quality and if plated some may contain trace lead amounts. If it causes a problem ,I don't know, when people talk about lead exposure, it's usually large amounts but best to be avoided.

The funny thing is copper has been linked to Alzheimer's but look how much of it we see in vaping gear. I suggest looking for a SS model and if you can't find one or don't feel comfortable with the others, go authentic or for something else.

Truth is no one can tell you without a doubt if something may or may not have lead in it, I always assume if it's brass or plated, there may be some lead possible in the atty. Always check too, as to where the authentic is made, some come from the same factories that make the clones.

Thanks for the response! I'm hoping the clone I've ordered is 100% SS
