CC has the advantage of not burning your batteries, because it prevents arcing on them.
But the lower your build, the hotter the arcing spark, which leads to more pronounced burn marks on your batteries, which in turn will render them useless in time.
With a CC switch the arcing will happen inside the switch, but those connections are far easier to clean than the very thin battery cans.

If you don't have significant arcing issues on your cells or you swap out the cells after a few cycles anyway, the CC switch isn't a necessary purchase.

That being said, I'd never ever ever purchase a mech without CC switch anymore, because it reduces maintenance significantly.
But I wouldn't pay 65$ just for the switch.
