SWMBO's favorite candy is key lime truffles by See's Candy. I want to recreate that flavor in e-liquid form. I have Key Lime (Signature), White Chocolate (Flavor West) and Fresh Cream (Flavor Art). My limited research on truffle making tells me these are the key ingredients other than butter, which from what I've read is not a good option for e-liquid.

I've never made truffles before and my DIY e-liquid skills are limited. I've searched the internet for e-liquid truffle recipes and almost everyone I've found uses chocolate and that isn't helpful. Has anyone attempted a similar recipe? What percentages would you recommend I assign to each of the flavors? None of the product descriptions indicate that they are concentrates.

Thanks in advance for your input.

You chose a great lime flavoring, the very best plain cream, but a horrible white chocolate. FW just didn't do that flavor right, and it'll ruin your recipe. Try that white chocolate all by itself at 5% and you'll see what I mean. The Signature Key Lime is made by TFA, The Flavor Apprentice. TFA also makes a truly delicious White Chocolate. I have to add that both it and the FW version include 'custard notes' you may want to investigate before using for inhalation. If you decide not to vape those chemicals, the best replacement flavor without them is also from TFA - their 'Cheesecake (Graham Crust)' flavoring - not plain Cheesecake, which also contains those chemicals.

I have made lime truffles before - and everything else 'limey' I can think of. Use 4% TFA White Chocolate, 2% FA Fresh Cream, 2% Signature (TFA) Key Lime. That will give you the right balance of very creamy, sweet white chocolate and the lime flavor. If you use the Cheesecake (Graham Crust) instead of the white choc, use 4%. If you by chance can stand that FW White Choc you have, use that at 4%. In any case the total flavoring is 8% and will be plenty strong with the lime.

A little sprinkle of nutmeg is also good on lime truffles IF you're using white chocolate (I'd skip it for cheesecake). TFA's Holiday Spice is nutmeg with a hint of cinnamon. I use 1 drop per 5ml of finished liquid for just a little hint of the flavor. It's a great custom touch for truffles.
