Bought my KGO back in July. All has been going great and enjoying my vaping. I'm using the LR bog Carts. Last night I was vaping and all seemed fine, then out of no where the next time (10 min later) I picked it up to vape, I had to suck really hard to get anything. In the mean time my other battery is on charge with a green light. I took the newly charged one, and took the one I was using, cleaned the contacts both on the battery and charger, even got a paper clip to gingerly lift the middle up a little. Plugged it back in to charge. So now I have the fully charged battery. I decide to grab a new cart, added by slow process 18 drops, as not to get it where it shouldn't be. It wasn't over filled or under filled. I let it sit for a few minutes, and screw the cart on the battery. Click on the button to vap, and NOTHING! I pull it away from my mouth, hold down the button and I don't hear a sound. I unscrew the cart, blow in it gently, and try again...nadda. Now I got two doing the same thing and this happened out of nowhere.

What could this be, and is there a way to correct it. I've already ordered a new battery, but exactly what happened so if I did something I don't repeat it or is this just normal wear? Two goes out the same time though! Faulty?

The first one, where you had to pull on it pretty hard to get the vapor, was probably clogged up. Cartos are considered a disposable product, they're not really meant to last, and there are all sorts of things that can go wrong with them. Typically when they get tough to draw though, either the coil is getting really gunked up, or there's something blocking the air-path, which could be liquid, or just more gunk that's making the filler stiff.

The second carto that you mention is very possibly just a dud. If it happens with a 3rd or 4th, then either you got really unlucky with that batch or cartos, or there's something wrong with your batteries.

Do you have any other device that you could test it on? If you had an eGo or even a cig-style battery with the same connection, you could test them on one of those, which would help you find out if it's the battery or the carto. Otherwise you could use a multi-meter and check the continuity. It's the Omega symbol, and you want it switched down as low as it'll go, probably into the 200 range, then press one of the poles to the center post on the carto, and the other post onto the threading around the outside. Make sure that they're not touching, or shorting eachother out.

Little lost here about what's going on.

As far as the carto goes, that doesn't surprise me. When mine are at end of life they are just hard to draw on. The only question here is how and when did that happen? In other words, if there a possibility that after you put the KGO down it was still firing?

I'm lost regarding the current battery status. What does "nothing" mean? Are the KGO's lighting, indicating they are firing? (Or at least supposed to be firing...)

Agreed that this is one of those times when you really need an inexpensive meter to know what's going on. Especially anyone using LR devices. You want to monitor them to make sure the resistance isn't dropping super low as a LR carto ages. (It can happen.) That starts placing a short across the battery when a device drops to 1 ohm or less.
