Those are golden

No need to scrap them, ever, until they die on their own - even if you move in "another direction". And then you'll have "backups for your backups" and that's important too.
Clearomizers can be tricky. Some swear by them, but all level headed reviewers out there point out that they can have various problems.
If you have the
CE2 or the branded "Fluxomizer"- they sometimes leak, sometimes do not wick the liquid fast enough and give you dry hits. There have been improvements over time, and the newer "revisions" have much better quality.
If you have the
CE3 sort or Smokymizer - they're fiddly to fill, give a very good fairly consistent vape, but sometimes leak without any rhyme or reason. I liked the vape, but I hated that microscopic plug. I don't know if they still make them...
There is also
CE4 which supposedly has a better vape and somewhat easier to fill / maintain. I never used these.
The newest
"CE4+" or Stardust is said to have the best performance of all the clearos. It's a top coil with tiny wicks so it feels like it shouldn't wick well, but regular people and reviewers alike agree that the wicking issues are not bad. There are reports of these cracking more often than the newer revisions of the CE2 which is worrisome. I'm yet to use one of these.
Again, my advice is that you keep a good stock of Boge 2.0 Ohm cartomizers at all times, so when you're done playing with fancy toys and you really want vape you have something to vape with
You'll have to fill them the right way. If you ask 5 experienced vapers what's the right way to fill a carto, you'll probably get 6 answers. The only point is that you have to really soak the filler material no matter how you do that. You can use the "condom method", various syringe methods, or Taryn spin - whatever you like. You probably shouldn't simply drip on it because it will take a long time. I always use a syringe with a wide bore needle, for instance.
I would also recommend that you get a few good dripping atomizers, preferably bridgeless 510 or 306, to be able to enjoy / test juices without dedicating a cartomizer right away. The flavor you get with the dripping on an atty is usually better than the one you get with a carto, as well.
