Today is the annual “Kick Butts Day” put on by Campaign for tobacco Free Kids. As I mentioned in a previous post, I’d ordinarily leave the kids out of this. I mean, we can all pretty much agree that nicotine is an adult product and should be consumed responsibly - by Adults. On the other hand, CTFK has made a habit of promoting an Anti Harm Reduction agenda which amounts to an Abstinence Only approach to tobacco control. For those not familiar with it, Abstinence Only is the kiddie version of #QuitOrDie. It doesn’t work for Sex, Drugs, or Alcohol and it absolutely won’t work for Tobacco.


I apologize for the extended intro here, but I feel like “the children” is a delicate subject and should be handled with some care. To be clear, nothing in this pack of tweets says, “Hey Kids! You should Start vaping!” Rather, they are intended to disseminate critical analysis of the lies that Anti-Smoker Activists base their ideology on and offer truth to people looking for a more productive way to reduce smoking rates.
