I can't find the forum for this but I'm having an issue with my kick.

My kick is kinda not working. I got it for my silver bullet maybe 6 or something months ago and my silver bullet is my only mechanical mod. It's not my SB because an 18650 works fine, and my 18500s works perfect in my reo so that's not it. When I press the button, I get this very very faint rumble. Almost like an arcing sound but that can't be it because a regular 18650 works. What gives?

There is still some residue on the inside of the tube even after manufacturing and needs to be sanded off. The kick needs a clean contact surface to work properly. This is item #4 from the instructions....

GROUND SPRING:You will notice a small spring attached to the top (side edge) of the Kick. This has been carefully designed and is an ESSENTIAL component of the Kick for proper functioning. The spring MUST make contact with the grounded inner wall of the battery tube. If this spring does not make contact, the Kick will not function. SOME (few) DEVICES HAVE ANODIZED or POWDER COAT ON THE INSIDE OF THE BATTERY Compartment. This can interfere with the ground connection. These coatings must be removed at the point of contact with the ground spring.NOTE: device TUBES VARY – The internal diameter is wider on some and narrower on others. Please do not use the Kick in tube mods with an internal diameter greater than 19.5mm.

Guys im not ......ed ive been using my kick for 6 monthes in my SB. I know about how it grounds in it, and it's clean inside. My silver bullet works with an 18650. But my kick doesn't.

Just trying to make suggestions. You may not be mentally challenged (nicer term) but you think your sb is mechanical. So ...

I would then guess as .... did, either the switch in the SB is going or your Kick has kicked the bucket.... If you research the forum, a while back, (maybe a year ago), they weren't lasting too awfully long in non-mechanical mods.... Lots of P.O.'d people...

BTW, I wasn't challenging your knowledge, there have been some new Kick users lately having problems and didn't know you needed to sand or clean the inside surface of the APV to make a good connection...that was all...

You might try cleaning the spring and all contacts with a bit of alchohol and then grab the little spring with your fingers and gently give it a gentle little tug, SOmetimes mine gets compacted and I notice that it is running a bit weak or wont fire after a few weeks. I do that and wahlah, back to hitting hard. Just be real careful. Everytime I do it I get nervous thinking im going to pull it a bit too hard. But it just takes a gentle slight tug. The Sliver Bullet is a wide body so maybe its just a bit loose with the spring compacted enough to not be making full contact.

I hope that helps. If not than you might even try those little magnet spacers. I use that on my Saber Touch and it really makes a difference in conductivity. If you take a quick look down your PV you might notice that where you battery contacts the PV it might look indented where the battery makes contact, especially with the button tops. That could be enough of a gap and the magnet will help.

Since you guys are here, the Can I just got, since it's in it's own little space am I aloud to use the protected battery with it? Some battery pros suggest to each other using a variety of batteries not exactly recommended. Like high drain IMR on mechanicals for better results firing up. IMR is or regulated stuff. Of ourselves I like the high mah capability of protected batteries. Can I use those with my Can kick attachment?

I use AW IMR's and Panasonic CGR's in all of my APV's, mechanical or not. I prefer them because as they are not only high drain, but they can handle higher amp loads and, (to me), last longer in all my APV's. Just because a battery is higher mAh doesn't mean it will last longer. At least not from what I have seen. I purchased some Efest 18350's because they got such high reviews from a lot of people, but my AW IMR's in any of my 18350 APV's last on average of 1-2 hrs longer! I rarely even use them anymore. They are in the vaping bag for just in case i'm out and about for longer than the usual time. Regardless if the APV i'm using has built in protection or not, I just feel safer using the safer chemistry batteries...

Thats pretty cool, I just dont know why they made the Kicklet and the Can so long. I ordered the Kicklet and then cancelled because it was going to make my device sooooo long, add an atomizer with a tank and its ridiculously long. The kick itself is so small in height, why not make an item like that but shorter?

The can was smaller than I expected. It's topping a a 18490 box type that can't be kicked. ( Damascus Makome Flair) I like having options. It's aluminum and not heavy at least. It's going to be trick to make my tank look good with it. It might of even been a mistake for all I know yet! Haven't got the damn mod yet! One of those buy it now get it laters-its coming though, no worry. Thanks you guys. I didn't realize 1200 amah IMR could out last 2400 protected ( just a general example here) and high drain is always good just sounds efficient. I was told the springs will do something ( re reo ) so to make safe if something happens. If I was to be plaYing around with rba I'd use protected and no kick anyway after ohm checks and all good stuff

Alright well. I do have only IMR batteries but none of them are aw because im cheap(mostly efest). My 18500s are flat top "Nhaler Kick Battery" and the other is not branded, it just says imr 18500-1100MAH 3.7v(I believe it was labeled kick battery when I bought it from electronicstix) My chi chi is hitting slightly harder than the SB. My kick still doesn't work in either my SB or my chi chi and the chi chi is sanded down on the inside and clean. I've used the 18500s and an 18350 efest in the chi chi. My 18500s work great in my reo and chi chi perfect.

You know I am just ...... off TBH. I mean I look for cheap stuff and make them work. But my SB and and kick and J-tank combo was my expensive mod and I was proud of it. My kick doesn't work and now I'm just kinda mad about it wishing there's a fix. And I know the SB isn't fully mechanical, it does have wires, but it's still mechanical, and it doesn't have any sort of circuits in it, the switch can handle 7 amps and like 40 or something watts.
