Kicked out of the forum with every post.. what up?

When I tried to register to e- cig forum a while back I couldnt do it through aol..I finally figured out that If I went through Internet Explorer I could register and post.. Problem is after posting on any thread It wont let me leave that thread..I've tried clicking the back/ forward buttons as well as refreshing the page etc.. I have to log off and sign back in everytime...At first I was ok with that..But, now I'd like to comment on things and I find my self thinking " ahh maaan, If I comment I'll have to resign back in" grrr lol
Anyone else have or had this problem? Any suggestions?

No such problem like that for me. Only time I have problems is when my satelite internet
gets slow. Like one time I went over the download limit or weather is bad.

I enabled cookies and checked the box to stay logged in but I was always being logged out! There was no fix. Eventually it just stopped logging me out and I haven't had any problems since. Totally bizarre and I wish I had an answer for you

Thanks chainsmkr, at least there is future hope... Ahh well..wordy wench that I am..I'd prolly be up to 500 post by now anyway without the restraints...lol

I've never had any problems like that.

I wonder if it would help if you tried using a different browser? I use Mozilla firefox instead of IE. It's a free download :-

as suggestion.. have you tried leaving a thread by clicking the links at top of page?

As well as only being logged in for about 5 minutes before I am automatically logged out, all the posts are reversed. So page 1 is actually the last page and the posts run from bottom to top - it's very irritating. Am I the only one with this problem?

Wow spike, Your problems worse then mine.. I'm real sorry that your on a timed Atuo Eject.. That would blow.. Maybe you could try some of these suggestions too, different browser ect..

Chrissie, I do have Mozilla firefox. I'll definitely give it a shot..

Well Taukimada, since I will be locked up soon as I hit "post reply" I'll try clicking a link at the top of the page instead of just my back button/refresh lol

Had to come back and tell you Taukimada.. Instead of signing all the way out. I went to the top of the page and clicked on the New members forum and it did take me right back there..So I didn't have to sign all the way out! Thank you :: smile

Now that I can help you with. You just need to change an option in your User Control Panel.

Click on User CP in the upper left corner
Scroll down to Settings & Options on the left side
Click Edit Options > Thread Display Options > Thread Display Mode

There you can select to display the oldest first or the newest first.

When you say you have to log off and sign in again, do you mean log off AOL and dial up again or close IE and restart IE?

Hi zep...No, I mean the thread locked up and I would have to log out of the e- cig forum all together and relog back in with every post.. But, someone mentioned the links at the top of the forum page ( newbie forum etc..) and that worked ok.. I'm posting much faster now lol
