I just used some sand paper and rubbed on the side of the Grand just using my finger. I didnt care how it looked. My Grand is a beater. Some have used dremels and made a small spot where the ground of the Kick touches the side or the back. My area of contact is much larger than needed. If you place the Kick in the Grand before you sand you see exactly where it needs sanding. I put a little film of Noalox on that area and also on the top and bottom of the Kick.

I'm looking into other (definite cheaper) options. By taking one part out of the design it makes it a whole lot less cheaper to be machined, just might have to sand some material off afterwards but no biggie. My last order from ponoko was disappointing, 5 out of 10 prints were completed warped. Considering laser cutting or something. Just that laser cutting needs a vector drawing and I haven't figured out how to draw it to exact dimensions or use a dxf. Anyone know of a solution?

Short Circuit Protection: The Kick will detect shorts in the connection between the Kick and the atty/carto coil. This sensor is sensitive and if it detects short, the Kick will not fire. If you experience this, unthread your atty/carto and clean out any accumulated juice in all connections and then gently re-thread atty/carto until only finger-tip snug. If device still will not fire, try a different atty/carto and/or adapter. This is designed both as a safety feature and to protect the components of the Kick module.

I just got my kick working thanks MudFlap i got part of the pain off so I don't need to have a wire going down to spring. All i got to say is wow its a awesome vape! Glad to hear that it has a short circut protection so I won't ruin my spring :) I got few spares just in case as I live in Europe. Gotta say I'm glad i got back to using reo (former mini user that wasn't satisfied with battery life) now grand user!

Good For you. You just have to pay attention puting the battery in. If you put it in upside down you will kill the Kick. Other than that its a great vape.
