@oldbroad are you up and streaming yet??

Nope....in setting it up I ran into a problem...my tv said " no network"!

I sent the site a message describing the issue today...I KNOW it's mostly my fault but I don't know how to fix it...my tv wouldn't even let me configure the size of the screen, etc.

OB, yer tv don't need no stinkin' netwerk! :) You run an hdmi cable to da tv frum da box. The box has to connect to a netwerk.
As far as the tv network... u need a passwerd to connect it to yer modem. There's a procedure. But still... knot required fur da kodi box. Don't kneed no smart tv!
Just hook up da box and "select source" frum yer tv remote. (prolly hdmi 1 or hdmi 2)

He's right but if you are connecting the box through wifi you need to put the password for your network on the box. The TV doesn't have to be connected to the network for it to work. HDNI from box to TV, input to the HDMI port you used such as #1, box plugged in and turned on and you should be at the opening screen. This is where you go into settings make sure wifi is turned on and enter the password.

Gary said it exactly. As far as adjusting the size of the picture you do this also on the opening settings usually for me it's around 97%. But once you get the general screen up the first thing you have to do is go to settings>Network or Wifi can't remember and turn wifi on it is shipped with it off. Once you do that it will search for a network you pick yours and connect and it will ask you for a PW which you have to enter exactly then connect and wait for it to connect.

Just a heads up, if you do feel you need one, pia is considered by a lot of people one of the best and fastest vpn out there and rn it's only $59 for two years, it comes out to like 2.50 a month. They also don't store any data on their servers, which puts my paranoia at ease.

Great info!

Check reviews to determine if it's fer 'you'...

@oldbroad Kay we normally take a nap in the morning, which if you don't know it's something old people do when they get up to early. PM me your phone number. I will call about 11am PST. What I need you to do is have a comfortable chair in front of your TV. Have the HDMI cable plugged into the box and the TV and know which input on the TV it is on #1, #2 and so on. Don't connect the power yet, have it plugged into the wall but not the box. Have your SS air mouse and TV remote and if possible your laptop where you can watch it at the same time. Have your security code written down exactly small case and large case letters and numbers. Have the USB receiver for the remote plugged into the SS1 on either of the USB ports. I will call you and try to get this thing to set up. The remote has a learning curve also and will try to help you with that. And also unplug your modem for a few seconds and plug it back in and leave it till all the lights are back on green and solid.

Ime, the pinhole reset will restore it to factory settings, so any lockdowns will go away.

You did change the admin password, at least? The very first security step on a router, and not the only one!

A power off/removed (I usually unplug it from the power line) for 45 - 60 seconds is usually all that's needed for internal caps to drain. And it doesn't lose any custom settings. So router passwords, access permissions and so on don't go back to the factory defaults.
