I can understand the OPs frustration, maybe its my age, who knows. I tend to try my best to keep correct grammar alive.
I have 2 sons that are in their early 20's and they actually read and write. They keep me up to date with modern terminology.
I have various internal rants when watching television and reading thru forum posts, but what can I do? I have accepted so much, my little rants are less and less. Heck like is so full of more important things to get upset about.
I call my set up "my vaporizer". I feel awkward calling it my "MOD" or APV.
Its part of life , as always as we get older , it means adjusting and acceptance, or we end up being grumpy old farts, sitting in our comfy chair , arguing with the world.
Heck we call the things we drive "Cars" which came from the word "horseless carriage".
I think the correct term is automobile.
But we prefer to say "hey mom can I have the car keys?"...... Than saying "hey Mom can I borrow the automobile?"
