2 are smok 900mah from madvapes and 1 is a tornado 650mah(shorter one). (same as egos) I have been using the 2 smok batteries for about a month, I also always use ce3 smokymizers on them(I know some people say they kill your battery but I don't believe that's the case here... I have like .01% leakage ever with em.. I clean the contacts daily and always check for leaks b4 putting anything on a battery) I got a ppc charger from totallywicked and have been using it alot the last week...All 3 batteries have been charged in the pcc lately. First smok went yesterday when I was outside, wasn't sure why it happened, no leaking juice in it or anything weird, just "poof" it's dead! Smelled horrible.. Just thought it was getting old, until the second one died pretty much right off the charger today. Same smell. So I went for the lil tornado battery(This is the first time I've ever used this battery) and took it off the charger put a different smokymizer on it, puffed on it for about an hour off n on and "poof" it's dead now too! Same smell as well. I don't leave these batteries on the pcc charger for hours on end. 4 hours probably at the most.. Now I'm left with 1 lil measly tornado battery and a passthru, praying this battery doesn't blow up b4 I get to order a mod, considering a megaladon or an orange silver bullet.

Do you think my problem is the pcc? or Maybe just a sh**y few days? Or...
Do you know if "the don" or the "silver bullet" have problems with ce3 smokymizers?
Any help is much appreciated. I've only been vaping for about 2 months now, have done ALOT of researching lots of different products. Never seen a situation like this..
THANKS!

I have never once blew up a battery so I may not be much help. Are you using low resistance cartomizers / atomizers on these smaller batteries I have read this can cause problems. Like I know you will wreck you smaller 180 - 320 mah batteries with low resistance cartomizers. I have never seen this problem with the larger batteries 650 - 1000 mah.

Both my Mad Vape batteries died within days of each other too. Mine lasted more than a month-closer to two or three. I have a ton of batteries (two people vaping) and never had batteries die as quickly as they did. I still have one of my joye batteries that came with my first starter kit. It's probably on it's last leg but still working.

I wonder if their batteries die so fast because they needed to be adjusted? Mine did. I had to keep adjusting them so they made contact with the cartos.

I have only used joye batteries. Whenever i switch away from joye to try to help everyone save some cash I notice that product quality drops and these other batteries just do not last as long. I would just spend a couple more dollars and get genuine joyetech batteries. My joye 510 kit from almost three years ago now still works to this day! I have been using the same joye ego batteries for year and they have had low resistance cartomizers - 2.2 ohm cartomizers on them along with a variety of tank mods. I even use a ego booster on them sometimes. Have never seemed to have trouble with joyetech products.

I have an EGO battery. I am waiting for my new CE3's to come in the mail right now, should be next week. I will try them. Glad to hear that they aren't killing batteries for everyone.

Please be careful. After reading the linked threads I would be scared :X

These type bats. can blow when charging which is evidently what happened, though the CE3 may have caused the problem. PS The released gas is said to be poisonous.

Don't you have a wall charger to use? I suggest use a different charger & don't use the CE3.
My eGo bats are lasting a long time using the eGo fast wall charger- only a little over 2 hrs. to charge.

Thanks everyone for all the information. I'm just assuming that the 2 smok batteries were ready to go anyway, and they all may have gotten over charged with the pcc, which I will no longer use. I was using it alot because I'm always out running around... The lil tornado battery from totallywicked is "supposed" to be a genuine joye product, could have just been the pcc.. The ce3s that were on the ones that blew up still work, -swedishfish- I dont think that article pertains to this...thanks though.. I can't-not use the ce3s. They are the only thing I've found that I enjoy!:( I don't really like dripping, it's inconvienent for me, I don't like cartos because they ALL have that gross filler taste.. I went to see about ordering a megalodon and they are still out of stock! Guess I'm not getting that for christmas..:( Thanks again everyone!

Esloan, I started using smokymizers few days ago and now I have THREE dead ego batteries. I didn't realize at first that smokymizers could be shorting, I thought that my batteries were perhaps getting too old (over one year of constant use). But then I had to borrow brand new ego-t battery from the friend, and guess what? that battery is dead too now. Although I was careful and vigilant using the new battery. It just takes a split moment, burnt smell and its gone. Battery is constantly ON, button switch is not working. Have to screw/unscrew carto to use it (as it is only battery I have left).
There is something wrong with smokymizers (design or just poor quality) that causing short. Measuring (I did) smoky's circuit is not going help much as the problem is intermittent, you can put 'good' one and few minutes later have a short and dead battery.
I was about to upgrade to replaceable battery mod anyway, but was forced to buy something in the hurry (indulgence v3). I'd rather had some time shopping (missed lavatube vv in stock by 2 days) and have a ego batteries as a backup (now dead) or when I need something smaller when out.
Smokymizers turned out to be expensive option to try, so I advise do not use them ever. I bought only one box of 5 and two definitely were bad.

Thanks for your info wingman. I ordered a silver bullet and got it super fast.. No more ego batteries for me(probably ever! I love my orange silver bullet!) I have been using the ce3's with it and everythings been going fine... I have used about 15 ce3's, all with different flavors in them and still refilling them and continuously using them all for about 2 months now..(getting ready to toss em for new ones soon even though they still work like new...) Ce3s were the reason I finally quit analogs. (I tried cartos, dripping, cartridges, 901, 510 and 801 set ups and none of them satisfied me until I found the ce3s....) This recent issue with the ego batteries was the first incident I've had with anything faulty I've bought, well except a 901battery doa when I first started vaping... I won't 100% rule out that the ce3's could have been at fault for the "death" of these batteries but I still love ce3s.. So until the day I can find another product that is as convenient and an awesome vape, I'm stickin with these.. I'm still trying to explore other options but nothings really doing it for me like the ce3s....?

Congrats on getting the Silver Bullet. Excellent PV. I have 3 of them. Each set up with different batteries, flavors, and hardware. Sorry about your eGo's. I still have my original set from a year ago but I don't run anything on them other than Boge cartos. Knock-on-wood, I haven't killed any yet. I mainly use mods these days and if something is touchy, I use it on a mechanical mod so the only problem would be a collapsed spring.
