Well, the title says most of it, and I'll try and say the rest. From the lost world of carto-tanks emerged two interesting figures that, by this point, we all know and perhaps, love: The Killer 705 and the Diver Rebuildable. While they're essentially designed to do the same thing, that is, replace the horrid poly-fill-filled messes of cartomizers from inside of our beloved tanks, there are a few design differences -- juice control, air control, size, etc. However, on the inside, they're essentially (rebuild wise) the exact same device.

Now, I've got my Killer 705 sitting in a nice ole' tank and I love the thing. Vapes like heaven, never really floods, very rare dry hits, so during a conversation with a fellow forum-er you all know and love, decided to order a Diver to see, well, what the difference is (also, they were in stock in the states).

And that's why I'm opening this thread: not to sit and ramble on about "well, I have a diver so its probably better," or to discuss "dude bro, just get a terminator, its like 40 for the price of one killer" -- no no no -- I want to have a proper discussion with people who have experienced both devices, in their original design (hint: no knock-offs), and who have developed preferences regarding said devices and why they have done so.

So comrades, the floor is open -- I'll chime in once I get my Diver in the mail.

(also, pics of setups are always welcome)

As far as performance goes, diver hands down, features, killer wins. Coil building is about the same level of difficulty. Here is where the killer wins hands down. The juice control. U can close it and it won't flood I have sat there and watched the diver flood itself little bubbles keep feeding but it's not even getting used.
Winner overal despite the small difference in performance, killer.

Are you still waiting on your Diver, Chickenbok? I've read more than a few times that the Divers tend to perform better, but urquidezj's review swayed me from buying one at the moment because I couldn't deal with it flooding while carrying it around in my pocket. I'm happy overall with my Killer so far, but looking forward to more comparisons.

Urquidezj, do you remember the PG/VG ratio of the juice you used when you experienced that problem, or is it a common issue regardless of juice viscosity?

i'll join the fun too when my divers comes in. I have 3 killers and have the hang of it. No floods, no issues setting it up. Takes a while to figure the setup though. Has to be just the right amount of wick. Too much it'll choke, too little wont wick fast enough. From what I hear the diver is less BS to put up with.

Nonetheless , I'm sure they are both great, im excited for my diver.

Since I got my kayfun though it's been stuck on my mod.

Speaking of getting the right amount of wick, how do you feel about the length of the standard premade wick and coil that comes with it? I'm getting more dry hits than I expected to even after washing it out and dry burning, but I don't know if I need more or less wick when I get around to rebuilding.

Sorry to slightly necro. Anyone else have any imput on this? I have two killers and the only issue I've ever had with them is mushing the wick into the atty when I'm changing a coil out. Just takes a while sometimes :D

I was about to order a Diver for a new setup because it's cheaper and I heard a lot of people like it.

But I was just reading some issues with flooding on Divers. My killer has never ever leaked. Ever. Is this really a big issue on Divers?

It is an issue with the Diver but most of the problems have been user error.

I'm really liking the diver it's awesome. I have a Killer-705 also, they both work extremely well, great flavor, easy setup, and the pre-made coils/ceramics are interchangeable between the two attys. The diver comes either flanged or un-flanged upon request. Between the two, K-705, and Diver ... they work basically they same but in my opinion the diver has more stability, construction wise. If you don't own one....get one!
