smok used to have a really terrible rep. Like by far the worst in the industry terrible. To the point of seeming like a scam. It was build quality though. That sort of thing is fixable. You have to do it though. How long are smok mods lasting NOW? Anything under a year is “still terrible” 1-2 years is “some improvement but not great” where anything more than that will be “actually pretty decent now”

My first big mod was the T-priv. It lasted all of 8 months and I never went back. Their tanks were decent enough at first but then they made so many different ones, each with coil heads that couldn't be used on any other tank, that I gave up completely. I suppose newbies might still start with smok, certainly no shortage of junk to pick from.

Years ago, I bought a baby priv at a vape shop when the mod that I was using gave out on me. It still works, but I haven't used it in years. When I upgraded from the baby priv, I purchased a Mag 225. It lasted 6 months. I purchased another, and it also lasted 6 months. After the third try, I gave up on Smok mods, although I still use the Prince TFV12 atties that came with the kit. After 3 mods in 18 months, all with the same switch issue, I said no more.

I was trying to reply that the TFV12 was a pretty decent tank, as long as you were careful putting the coil in. Too tight and it would leak something awful.
I've noticed replying on the iphone is impossible.

Well difficult anyway. Autocorrect can create weird problems. It’s the same as any other kind of buttonless phone really. Virtual keyboards just kinda suck.
    There's that.

In addition, when I go to reply or do a quote, the iphone won't allow me to reply in a separate field. This makes it look like I'm replying to myself.

I see others do it all the time here now. :(

Sounds like a browser or website thing. What browser? I use Firefox rather than safari myself. It’s real possible safari might have problems with this site. I generally only use Firefox though. I seem to be able to reply fine. It is POSSIBLE to reply to your own post though. That would be a website thing. I seem to have no trouble, though the reply button does appear, and if I hit it I can reply to my own post.

I think smok pretty solid now, mag, morph, gpriv, scar, rigel, r kiss v2, all these are very solid oh arcfox too cant go wrong with one these they stepped up their game since way back
Your experience newer than 3 years? Apparently as of 3 years ago it was still terrible. Like spend 25% more on something else and get 5 times the device. The only thing I’d consider from smok currently is a disposable (which apparently aren’t bad. Their horrible manufacturing doesn’t matter if you’re going to throw it away anyway). As o three years ago all smok made were disposables whether they were sold as that or not.

Does clicking or tapping into or onto the 'body area' of the text field take the cursor out of the 'quote area'? I've been in a similar situation before, but I have 3 or 4 browsers on each of my laptop and my Android, and I can't remember which device and which browser..

Well, it looks like it’s working this time :| Maybe it’s when I try to do quotes. On the laptop, it’s not a problem.

Oh they work fine until they don’t. Unfortunately that is or was measured in weeks not years. There was nothing ever wrong with the engineering.. it’s the craptacular build quality. Supposedly that was worked on. I’m trying to find out if it’s true. Apparently as of three years ago it wasn’t. Stuff’s cost is amortized over time. This is why an iPhone or a 80’s/90’s era Mercedes was actually less expensive than other cars. Because they lasted longer. If you break them they don’t of course because the fixed cost is higher. This is why construction workers buy three hundred dollar boots once a year. They could buy $30 ones but they get torn up in a week, so the $300 ones are actually cheaper because the continuing cost is so much lower. Old smok used to be multiple times as expensive as other mods because even though they were cheaper for equivelant features they lasted a fraction as long.
If Mercedes cars lasted much longer than other cars like they used to I’d be driving one. As it is I won’t touch em. It’s high school math.
