Kinda disappointed

Hey yall
I know I'm a full member but I am still posting here cause I just started again

Well as my title says i'm kinda disappointed
Today was supposed to be my first day off analogs but still smoked 6.. Better than a pack but not what I wanted... I got a screwdriver and it taste like burnt.... Don't know if I need to clean the atty or it's the liquid , which is tabacco flavoring, but I still broke down.. I am thinking I need to order some other flavors like cotten candy or something..
I keep overfilling my carts, stikey!!!!
I ordered a juice box and am hoping it will be better than the SD...I go back on call at midnight and am hoping my next job I will be able to do my hitch with only the SD and no analogs.. Please pray for me..
What am I doing wrong with the SD ? whay is their still a burnt taste? what flavors are good in your oppinion??

I am so new to this that I can't really answer any of your questions....sorry! But don't beat yourself up about it, tomorrows another day, so you smoked 6 analogs how many would you have smoked had you not vaped the rest of the time? Even if you replaced one cigarette with vaping you are already ahead! I am sure you will figure out what the bugs are, iron them out then be going strong in no time

I like cola flavors. I buy cola liquid and add whatever else I have to it. I wish I could find a good Mt. Dew flavor because that is my drink of choice (it keeps the headaches away). But, fruit flavors mixed with cola flavor works for me. Best of luck yo ya.

No biggie on a few analogs, just keep vaping and cutting back. You'll get there.

Give a couple of other flavors a shot, as well as another atty/batty combo. I know you said you were picking up a juice box (hopefully that helps) but hell - going from a pack a day to 6 is a MAJOR accomplishment.

Without the aid of your SD and just trying cold turkey do you think you could boast the same success? (And not be incarcerated for ripping someones head off during a nic fit?)

Congrats on your progress of stepping away from the analogs. Its at least a start until you determine which combo is best for you

I hope you blew out the primer from the atomizer before using. If your atomizer is dry that's a big problem with the SD because the batteries, fresh off the charger, measure at about 4.2 Volts which is easier to burn liquid at that level. And if you did blow out the primer and only used a cart right after that, your atty was most definitely not wet enough. I have found that when I used to use carts with brand new devices I'd have to blow out the atty, drip 6-7 drops in the atty and THEN put a new cart on. It takes that much juice to fully prime an atty that is completely dry. Also 901's are pretty weak on flavor if you ask me. I've used some of the strongest flavors (menthols and cinnamons) on 901 attys to try and get some flavor out of them to no avail. Remember if you don't like the 901's you can buy an adapter pretty cheap to convert to pretty much any atomizer you want. This is all from personal experience with owning a screwdriver for 2 months. Hope this helps.

thanks for the support. Y'all are right that this is a good way to start. I would have smoked at least a pack.
What is ment by blowing out the atty???? I think it is going to get better from now on. Right now I'm on a acid barge and have a place to vape. Just a short 8 hour job so I'll see if i can just vape with no analogs. Gonna order some juice when I get home.

what flavors are good in your oppinion??

Mandeville huh... who dat! Rummel HS grad here. My parents and sister live in Covington now.

My fav flavors are tobacco vapes in the NHaler Octane and Halo lines. The dessert/candy flavors aren't my cup of tea. There are other addictive substances in cigarette smoke in addition to nicotine. I continued to smoke a few cigs a day for the first month. I dropped down from a pack a day to a pack a week when first starting (which was a freaking miracle). Eventually stopped them altogether after a couple of months. That was using mostly M40X hardware. Since then I've upgraded my hardware to much more effective lower resistance attys (the 2 ohm attys from IkenVape) and hi-drain 16340 battery MODs. Cigarettes don't even cross my mind anymore.

Once you get a handle on how to make the most of of your hardware, it gets easier to scratch that itch w/o the cancer sticks. A juice-box, that's some kind of pump fed system right? Juice Box Review on Vimeo Big battery with 10ml on tap... Sweet!

Actually, I just switched from a pack+ a day on the 10th and that's exactly how many analogs I smoked on my first day. Then none on the second, then one on the third. My strategy is to not treat it as a "must quit analogs at all costs" proposition. Just going w/ the flow and trying to transition to vaping w/out beating myself up about whether I smoked an analog or not.

It may sound paradoxical, but some fights are better left unfought. The more you fight and resist the more pressure you put yourself under: The more likely you are to want an analog. The easiest way to circumvent that process it to not turn it into a fight at all. Just go "Meh, whatever... at least it wasn't a pack."

The one thing that surprised me earlier today was when I tried to get that MAOI "fix" from an analog and I couldn't even really taste it or get a good throat hit off a mboro red... We'll see how it goes.

I'm thinking the same now. This time I Am going to do it!!!last time I did not have a back up so when my pv broke I just fell back to analogs. This time I will have a lot of mods for back up. I'm not gonna beat myself up anymore and just be happy with my progress. Thanks for the encourgment
